Unfortunately we have lost out another target we where in for, a gk… and I think another major target has picked elsewhere so things are looking quite bleak atm.

Cheers Newgen.
The transfer situation is looking bleak, very bleak. No reports of linked players in the press, although they're mostly wrong.
Players more likely to be sold than bought.
All this on top of probably the worst Celtic team to win the league last season.
Just like Rodgers MON didn't sign up to be going into a gun fight with a Swiss army knife.

That's the trouble when we have people out there depth at negotiating contracts. Then add in a pensioner using us as his wee play thing. We can't get deals done. Absolutely scunnered with the Celtic board. Home and Away for decades and can't be fecked with it all now.

Is anyone else beginning to feel MON is playing the doddery old grandpa too much when it comes to transfers?
First it was Wilson who mentioned a busy two weeks, then Martin mentioned another two weeks after the Shelbourne game.

Not really the same thing
Rodgers spent around 30 million on the spine of a team on trusty, Engels and idah and none of them were good enough for him.

He should have probably left after the cup final with reputaion and credibility higher than ever. Especially after finishing such a stormy season amid obcene phone calls and personal abuse from scumbags. The last thing he needs is this Kamakaze Board hanging him out to dry - yet again - as our figure-head fall guy.
Protests against th Board were suspended during our rampant run-in but the root cause of all our problems and mismanagement are still there, ready to enforce th next phase of our decline. Very worrying times ahead IMO.

Honestly to add to the people out there depth doing the negotiations, the stuff am hearing is absolutely ridiculous like we are in a bad position with these clowns and seeing our blue neighbours doing so well in this window is really scaring me, even our maroon rivals are doing well and we’re just sat here penny pinching.
13 Jul 2026 15:48:44
Newgen, come on. The problems we have are well documented and we acknowledge them. But who have Rangers signed that's got you on the backfoot? Shankland, Neil, Devlin? Rangers will be our main challengers. They're going down the staunch route. So what!
It's about what we do, or don't do, that determines how the new season goes.

I smell a sevvie.

Can’t be Newgen Celtic Jaa, he’s the sites new transfer prophet ?.
{Ed007's Note - Even though he missed Duran being announced because he was in Spain ? although the post came from the Queens Park area of Glasgow.. He must have forgot to switch on the VPN I reckon or he's touring Europe... He's been in Spain according to him but he's posting from Glasgow and a few from Bucharest ??
13 Jul 2026 21:10:00
I thought Newgen was the old Hoopy or Hoops poster ???
Don’t suppose you can confirm that ?.
{Ed007's Note - The records don't go back that far since the sites were updated/upgraded...

?? if some of you gentlemen actually think am a Rangers man cause am capable of saying they have done good business… that’s laughable same for hearts. It’s truly embarrassing but oh well just the way it goes.
Guess it’s more of a maturity thing with some. But yeah am a Rangers man when I have given decent info so far, even hinting towards Hassan way before his name was flying about the media but again oh well.
Again want to get the point across this isn’t a dig at everyone as many people in my circle are not bigoted and are capable of accepting a rival done something right well we struggle so that makes me think a fair few are here as well.
14 Jul 2026 11:43:12
You're taking the P***. ?. Who have Sevco signed that's got you running scared. Go back to your own site.
14 Jul 2026 13:30:20
Are you trying to tell me shankland isn’t a top spfl striker? Let’s be real here that’s a great signing
Then players like Neil devlin are both objectively good/ top spfl level players
And then pandur was great last season with hull
Godfrey who I respect isn’t the player he ones was might not be great (hopefully) but realistically there’s still a player there
McCrorie is a good spfl option…
They are also liked with big hatro Dahl and from what I have watched of him previously, he’s a top talent who when they sign him we will notice a difference.
If anyone disagrees with that am happy to hear you out but I will not accept that’s bad business for this early in the window, there doing what I’d be doing as Celtic dof, sign good/ better squad players than we currently have on frees or low risk deals that are even better when they already know the team and know what’s expected… then work on filling the major gaps in the team with a mix of players with experience and some with major potential.
{Ed007's Note - I'd have been raging if we had signed Shankland to be our main striker and Pandur was that "great" he let in 65 goals in 48 games for Hull.
No other GK conceded as many goals as he did last season in that League, in fact out of the top three divisions in England only Spurs Martin Dubravka conceded more goals than Pandur and only Jerome Prior of Livingston conceded more out of the top two divisions up here.
Statistically, Pandur was the third worse GK in the UK last season.}
14 Jul 2026 14:15:24
Shankland was a great striker for hearts and I would have been over the moon if he had signed
And pandur considering you want to use statistics you seemed to leave out the 7.07 rating he had last season as well as 11 clear sheets (all league numbers) now that’s good numbers objectively so please give it a rest??.
{Ed007's Note - A 7.07 rating ??? is that on FIFA or FM? He conceded 65 goals in 48 games but wow, he had 11 clean sheets ??
Objectively he was the 2nd (SECOND) worst 'keeper in England, do you fancy a rest? ?
