Sandro Mazzola who scored the opener for Inter in the 1967 European Cup Final had a great career for club and Country.
He won 4 League titles and 2 European Cups with Inter Milan.
Mazzola also won the European Championship with Italy.
His Father Valentino Mazzola was also a great striker for Torino and Italy.
His Father actually Won 5 League titles with Torino in only 7 Years but then disaster struck.
A plane carrying the whole title winning Torino team crashed killing everyone on board in 1949 when Sandro was only 6 Years Old.
Coincidentally his Father played his last ever match in the Estádio Nacional in Lisbon against Benfica in a Friendly match.
The plane crashed after leaving Lisbon.
Strange for Sandro to score the opening goal in a European Cup Final in Lisbon at the venue where his Father played his last ever match.
