Bit of a head versus heart question. Do you think James Forrest deserves another contract? I say yes because even in his limited form just now, it would cost us more to replace him.
Give him 1 more year.

James Forrest, at least can attempt to get passed a opposition defenderr something Tournetki has not quite mastered as yet.

James has not contributed enough in the last couple of seasons to be given a new contract.
Is sentimental a good enough reason for a new contract?

It's a no from me, it just shows how far we've regressed that Forrest is still an option/ match winning hope.

He's 35 this year, but he's not showing any signs of losing his fitness, think he looks after himself and I think there's another season in him?.

Absolutely no chance, but i think he will be offered a new one.

I know our recruitment has been a 'hot spot' for a while but, seriously, we should be looking at younger quality to drastically improve the current team. James Forrest has had an amazing career and I would hope he could add a couple more medals with similar to Sunday's inspirational performances in the remaining games to finish with an accolade from the support and our best wishes for the future.

No we need to be aiming higher than that. Great servant but time to go.

That would be a cheap option for me.
Yes he has been great for us over the years but we need younger, hungrier players, players we can develop and sell on.
Yes he made a difference on Sunday but that was when their defenders were tired. When he starts a game, like many of our current team, he is invisible.
We need players who start games and run at the opposition, close them down and create and take chances. EVERY GAME.
Tounekti looked like that player but in most games disappears, maybe our next Manager can get a tune out of him.
We need to move on and that means leaving some players behind and includes Jamsie.
If we give him a new contract now, that means he is a player the new Manager has on the books, 1 player of his own that he can take in.

Forrest will get another year no problem. Despite his age he remains the best winger in the squad and as we've seen the dross you get trying to replace him on the cheap.
I agree we need to give youth more of a chance and hopefully Osmand will be a huge asset next season. I'm not aware of other youngsters potentially good enough for 1st team exposure, as we tend to lose the better ones through not giving them a proper chance, (e. g. Doak and Vata)
