I was fortunate enough to watch both Dunfermline and Hibs under the management of Big Jock. Both teams were hard to beat and entertaining. Neither had the talent that Celtic had in Paradise. We all know Jock got the best from our Bhoys.

Would Jens Askou be like Big Jock? Never ever, but he might just get the absolute best from our lads. I don't think he would be a risk. Most of us have been complimentary about his 'modus operandi'.

How many players would you keep out that team and fo you think he can get more out them, a don't think so we need at least 6 tpo 1st team players.

Troy, clearly come summer, players will move on, some new faces will replace them. The new boss will have identified who he wants. I think he will do well because our key players will his choice, and Bhoys are always more talented than the opposition.

Jock also had an incredible record with Dunfermline.
Dunfermline hadn’t won a league match in 4 months and were in relegation trouble but yet Jock won his first 6 league games.

The following season he won them the Scottish Cup by beating Celtic in the Final and Dunfermline finished 4th in the league.
In Europe the next season Dunfermline reached the Cup Winners Cup Quarter Finals.
They reached Europe again in his final season and beat Everton.
Dunfermline then lost to Valencia in a playoff.

Jock only spent one year at Hibs before he came to Celtic.
It only took him about 8 weeks to win our first trophy in 8 Years.
Dunfermline and Celtic both won a cup final each against one another but Big Jock Won both Finals as their Managers.

He's managing Motherwell, has the best defensive record in the league and currently sits in 4th place.

I'd say he was doing more than alright.

{Ed007's Note - If we're looking in Scotland why not just go for John McGlynn with Maloney & Brown as his assistants?}

A good manager makes the difference, we had Brendan throwing players under the bus saying they were more or less rubbish, destroying their confidence, and then Martin, comes in and has to try restore the confidence, and see what the difference was.
