Not a criticism of current strikers. was reading about big oh and done a stat check . cvancaras l goal every 3.2.johnny Kenny 1 in 3.3.Adamu 1 in 3.4 . oh 1 in 3.6 . very similar ratios. my general point is kenny considered nowhere near good enough for most fans and we put him out on loan probably never to return . most would probably be happy spending the guts of 15 million on cvaracara and adamu .
I know it's early days for both and as i said not criticism of current players as like kenny and oh they seem to try their hardest. it could change dramatically by seasons end of course but if stays similar shouldn't we then be going for a player / players with better scoring stats. just a bored Monday night ramble / muse.

Based on what I have saw, araujo is the only one I would buy so far.

The 2 strikers we brought in have played in the German league compared to Kenny playing in the Irish league.
Giakoumakis mentioned he would walk to Glasgow to play for Celtic again but he ended up in Greece on loan.
A proper striker who scores the vast majority of his goals with a first time shot unlike most strikers who like to take two or three touches.

I really like Cvancaras, looks great to me.

Yes buzz they did but cvancara only scored 8 in two seasons and aduma 7 in 3 seasons . the reason they're away from Germany on loan . but obviously its what they do here that will determine their future.

DRB - I’ll be honest as always so far I haven’t see anything to suggest either striker is a must buy.
This 433 we play doesn’t suit any of them and I’ll include Kenny in that.
I’d like MON to just get back to his 352 - might see more goals from the strikers imo.
Maybe he can’t with the midfield we have especially just now
Calmac is no Lennon
McCowan is no Lambert
Nygren is no Petrov
There is a severe lack of ability, composure and athleticism is our midfield.

Without Cvancara we would’ve lost that game on Sunday. Absolutely brilliant from the big man. For some reason he’s not getting any plaudits. Both goals affective assists from him.
If you look across all leagues strikers are becoming less and less affective as they are being taught differently. The days of a penalty box striker are dwindling they need to be able to do it all to reach high levels of the game.

"Calmac is no Lennon"
Calmac is a far better player than Lennon ever was but should be playing further forward.
I'll give you the other 2 though!

Ken Nobody saying he didn't do well . and not denying he helped change the course of the game . onto my main reply . box players dwidling .? Maybe at Celtic . and as for teaching differently . haven't strikers/ players always been taught about movement . going long coming short . linking up .
decoy runs . etc etc . but to coach out basic oenaly box scoring instincts i can't see managers or coaches neglecting / changing that that . do they just rely on blind luck and hope a flick on header and a cross is badly defended and falls fortunately to a teammate as happened with cvancara on Sunday .

Lennon is still a better player than McGregor.

There’s a player in cvancara, i.

Defo Troy. Lennon was a proper midfielder and had the more skilful players around him to help going forward.

Kenny should never have been near the first team this season. Prior to starting his first game this season he'd only scored once or possibly twice for Celtic.
Scoring aside, Kenny still has to learn the game and for me, he has a long, long way to go.
Never a Celtic first team player.
