The more i watch araujo the more I want him to stay some player and has a great attitude.

Agree4 Disagree0

As Martin O'Neil said did you see his first half ?????.

He's also got bags of energy to go alongside the attitude Mally.

I'm unsure whether we have a clause to sign him but I'd agree, for a number of reasons, he's the type of player we need going forward.

Who would be the number one choice - AJ or Araujo?

The more I watch Trusty, the more I'd like to see the back of him at RCB.

A blind man running for the bus could see just how all at sea he is playing on the right. We let Welsh go back to Motherwell as we had 2x RCBs in the squad, play one of them! Playing 2 LCBs is clearly not working and going to cost us big time if he perseveres with this approach.

Added to that, the toll of games coming up will cause more injuries if we don't rotate the squad more and at CB we have 2x RCBs not playing. MON slipping back into playing his favourites regardless of form or best position could be a big mistake.

My team for Thursday would be;

Sinisalo
Donovan Murray Scales Tierney
Bernardo
Yang Nygren McGregor Tounetki
Cvancara

MON's team will be;

Schmeichel
Aurujo Trusty Scales Tierney
McGregor
Nygren Hatate
Yang Cvancara Maeda.

Totally agree about Trusty, MON has got to take some criticism for not playing a RCB especially letting Welsh go ( did score against Cream buns so can b forgiven for that) and when he said that about Aurujo a wouldve said it was your fault boss for 1st half team selection, c'mon Martin HATATE ??‍♂️.

Stengo,

based on his performanes to date, there's a strong arguement for Aurujo.

The other factor to consider is when he does eventually return, what AJ will we get post this injury?

I agree MIB re Trusty and to be honest there are at least 6 players that started yesterday's game that I personally can't see being at the club next season.

Trusty is one of the current starters I'd punt to any interested club.

Without sounding like a broken record, the squad (not just the starting 11) is the poorest, weakest and techinically least equipped Celtic team in a decade, possibly more.

Next season I'd like the spine of the team to be as strong as possible (GK, CB, MF, Striker) , after that, the players currently getting a start and who are not sold in the summer window, would be on the bench. The remaining positions would be recruited for.

Re your point on MON, although I disagreed with his starting line up yesterday, as long as he's winning (and he is) it's hard to argue.

Baring in mind MON won a treble and got to the then UEFA Cup Final with a nucleus of 15 players as the rest never got a look in.

I watched the tail end of the Stuttgart game at the weekend and seen their goals. 3 decent goals, they look sharp in the box, particularly from deliveries which is our weak link. We certainly need to put in two defensive performances and nothing like the first half against Killie or this tie could be over in the first leg.

Celtic used 19 players on the road to Seville.

MON preferred a 3-5-2 system but was spoiled for choice for his "3". Valgaeren, Balde, Laursen, Varga and Mjallby, all of whom would walk into today's team.
