I just listened to Brian Wilson’s interview with Gerry McCulloch, and the first thing that struck me was how much of a snivelling liar he is.
He claims he’s been too busy over the past month to engage with fans. I highly doubt that, he must have a secretary or someone on his team who could easily respond to fans on his behalf, or he could have taken the time to send a quick email himself. The excuse he gave was that he’s been tied up with transfers, but as chairman, sorting out transfers isn’t even part of his remit. So, that’s just a blatant lie.
Then he says all he wants is for the fans to come back to the stadium, for the place to be full, and for fans to create an atmosphere. If that’s really the case, then why did he and his associates fabricate lies about the Green Brigade and ban them from the stadium? Why has it taken them until February to finally reach out to the fans today (assuming he’s not lying about that too) ? And why did the board allow a non-board member to attack our fans at the AGM? It’s all complete nonsense, and as I pointed out before, it feels like he just wants us to be silent while they continue running the club into the ground with their poor decisions.
Is he really that deaf to the message? Doesn’t he realise they’ve dug their own grave, and we’re not backing down? They wanted a fight, and now they’ve got one.
At least the boycott has forced these pariahs to sit up and take notice, even though they’re still too cowardly to actually meet with us.
