Was about to post something similar, these clowns are absolutely leaving the football club in a very vulnerable state, especially with extra games in Europe to be played, they couldve scouted the Europa conference league and gotten players from that competition to improve our squad, but as we keep banging on, without the correct leadership as in DOF then we can't effectively operate.
I know Bodo Glimt keep popping up in terms of how they are ran, but I have noticed 80% of the players who start are homegrown nation players, why not buy the best Scottish players before they get snapped up abroad.
Would our support feel we were being ambitious enough signing scottish players? I think we should be, especially likes of Mulligan at Hibs, what's your thoughts?
{Ed007's Note - Would Celtic fans accept not winning the league like Bodo/Glimt fans do (or Ajax is a better example) while players bed in etc?
Bodo/Glimt finished 2nd in this season league, the 3rd time they have since 2019 which was the closest they got to winning the league since 2003.
Would 4/7 titles be enough for Celtic fans, just imagine the meltdown the 3 years we didn't win it? Does a Celtic manager survive losing the league?
Celtic fans demand - and rightly so imo - domestic dominance, the aim of European progress should guarantee that with the calibre of signings etc.

It’s been said as entitlement but it’s expectation.
Finance wise we are light years ahead.
On the pitch we are 3rd in what is normally a 1 horse race.
{Ed007's Note - I totally agree BB, I've been saying for years that we should be seen as the PSG or Bayern Munich of Scotland, the financial gulf between us and the rest of Scottish football should guarantee that if we do lose the league it's a freak of a season and the natural order would be restored in the next season.}

I think most of scotland already have had Celtic as the psg or bayern as the passed decade of success would suggest, and the financial turnover, but from time to time they all falter, psg and bayern also have a good track record of fielding domestic players, unlike ourselves, buying players from the league they play in, our from their own academy.
{Ed007's Note - Well we can't be the Bodo/Glimt and PSG at the same time ?

Think I’d settle for either because I don’t know what we are at the mo!

Still feels like we are being held back. Like operating a rowing boat that tied to the jetty. I know it sounds like a conspiracy theory but with the global brand we had, and the financial muscle, why aren’t we out of sight of every other team. This has been niggling for many many years and certainly since oldco died.

Why is our right to win the league, that right has to be earned not bought.
01 Feb 2026 08:35:20
We don’t have a right to win anything, we do have a right to expect a better run club with the finances available.

You mean use the finances to buy success, so we can buy, badge kissing mercenaries, to win the league, I say spend the money on developing our own young players, that might mean many years without success, as the young players develop,
