They're either stubborn beyond belief or are the dumbest board to ever have the power in the parkhead boardroom, how would you go into this game and not go the extra mile supporting the manager why take the risk we have the financial muscle to blow both bun teams away but chose to gamble instead, baffling.

Agree6 Disagree0

Not only that they continue to ignore the elephant in the room, hoping it will just go away.

Loads of us are raging at their mismanagement of the club and the longer they ignore us, the more pissed off we get. Instead of altering their course and meeting up with the fans to try and build the bridges they have wrecked. They continue to hide hoping that over time we will all forget the terrible job they are doing and they can carry on wrecking the club without interruption.

Unforgivable.

Little Joseph

This isn’t going away - there’s no way back for this board or for Despot Desmond or the billionaires bampot of a boy.

The good thing is the myth that was Peter Lawell and the narrative perpetuated that Celtic is a well run club lead by a competent board has been exposed for the lie it is - the gene is out the bottle and isn’t going back in.

World class in everything we do and every penny gets pumped back into the football department ???.

24 Jan 2026 17:09:20
How can Mckay and Nicholson still be employed?
They have cost Celtic millions with Tisdale Wilfried &co. Losing millions due to notanotherpenny action and horrendous transfer dealings leaving a downsized squad. If money is King to these neanderthals are they happy to accept a massive hit here and now due to hoarding cash?

I agree @jfp - this is not going away. Yes it has calmed down a little but we are only 1 game away from a full on eruption.

If we were to lose tomorrow, there will be an angry mob outside Celtic park calling for their heads.

Peter Liewell, who actually, despite putting on a west end show for the media as to why he HAD to leave Celtic, actually hasn't left Celtic at all.

If any of that shower told me it was raining I'd look oot the windae.

{Ed007's Note - Are you sure Ped? There was some confusion over the pages on Companies House being updated and people - who really should have known better - jumped the gun to try and look smart.}

24 Jan 2026 18:28:12
He is still at Celtic, as he needs to be for his UEFA role. Whether or not he has any influence at the club is unknown but it would not surprise me if he made a come. back at a later date.

{Ed007's Note - No he doesn't, that's a myth. PL will hold his ECA/UEC role until the next round of elections in 2027 unless he resigns before then.}

24 Jan 2026 19:51:11
That is the point I'm making ed. He has to still be associated with Celtic to hold his UEFA positions.

That is not to say he is on the board as I know he isn't.

{Ed007's Note - So what association does he have with Celtic, what's his title? PL will continue with his ECA/UEC role until the next elections or until he resigns, it has nothing to do with Celtic.}

24 Jan 2026 20:07:45
Ed,

I'm wrong, my bad.

I was under the impression he had moved from Celtic FC Ltd to the PLC or vice-versa.

My apologies, I take that back.

{Ed007's Note - That was the confusion Ped, he was on both and resigned from both - it was basically down to Companies House system being a bit to slow to register the paperwork online but it was only by hours if that. ??

The ECA/ UEFA roles absolutely do have something to do with Celtic.

Those positions aren’t personal appointments, they’re held by club representatives. Lawwell didn’t magically become independent of Celtic just because he stepped down as chairman. His ECA role exists because he was put forward as a representative of Celtic in the first place.

He doesn’t need to be on the board or have a day-to-day title for that association to continue until the next ECA elections, continuity like that is normal in football governance. But without a club anchor, he wouldn’t be eligible for these roles.

So yes, he can continue until elections or resignation but the underlying link is still Celtic. That is not to say he is involved in the running of the club but I would not be surprised if he involved in some kind of consultancy role still.

{Ed007's Note - Holy feck, it's like playing chess with a pigeon here! ?‍♀️?‍♂️

24 Jan 2026 22:19:45
So if Lawwell is a Board Member and Vice Chairman of the European Club Association, and member of the joint venture between ECA and UEFA, which club is he representing?

24 Jan 2026 23:09:31
? nice one.
