I find it astonishing that we haven’t
Managed to get at least one player
In the door for MO I understand the
Argument that because of the swift
Removal of wn that we are maybe
Now looking at a different type of player but f@@k me it can’t be that hard .
I’m no conspiracy theorist but I’m now
Starting to think ( like a lot of others)
That this is a deliberate act of sabotage by the people who are entrusted to run our club.
16 Jan 2026 21:37:18
DD and his son are not happy. He would be best to sell up. Or let someone else step in.
Don’t think it’s sabotage as such. But DD does hold a grudge.
Brian Wilson only agreed to be acting chair on the basis he would be allowed to set the strategic direction of the club.
Vast majority of Tisdales recommendations not acceptable to MON …. Also, Tisdale did use a digital data base. His own. He used it for Celtic but he has ownership of it. I know some are saying thank god.
Celtic expect to make 4 signings by Thursday. All approved by MON, even though he is only there till end of season.
So some good news.

Great post Celtic65, especially if this is knowledge over rumour/ opinion.
16 Jan 2026 22:37:22
Brian Wilson is a fud.
He bangs on about harmony but what he means by that is he wants the fans to stfu and the green brigade will remain banned from the stadium.
He needs to be removed along with the other people wrecking our club.
16 Jan 2026 23:30:51
Wee Joe.
I respect your consistent stance and your loyalty to the team.
BW is a very decent guy who truly loves Celtic, despite growing up the “son of a manse. ”
He spoke up as a non exec, including against Nancy being appointed. That call at board level was by driven by MN and backed by PL as Chair. PL backed MN.
BW is also a smooth operator at business and political level. He is well respected across the Uk, not sure how you deem him a fud.
If it was up to him, nobody would be banned from the stadium without good reason. I feel there is a fair chance of GB being back for next home league game. for this to happen DD needs to keep to the wings.
Remember i'm no supporter of this board. But I do feel BW will make a mark.
Jas11,
Can’t say for sure, but there is a determination to make things happen, that I don’t believe existed recently. The seriousness of signing players…. This is based on some things I have picked up, so not my option.

The Celtic fans voted against Brian Wilson being re-elected in the room at the 2021 AGM.
Wilson’s re-election was forced through by the largest minority shareholder DD.
Wilson didn’t help himself by saying Rangers were demoted.
The guy has been on the Celtic Board for over 20 Years but yet he hasn’t got a clue coming out with such rubbish and now we’ve got him as our interim Chairman.
Wilson is a true Politician coming out with a statement but yet doing the opposite.
He is part of the problem and nowhere near the solution.
Wilson also needs replaced 5 years after our fans voted him out.
17 Jan 2026 06:46:27
The solution can’t be removal of all board members, that’s pipe dream of the radicals and in real world doesn’t Happen, and won’t happen, individuals if working for the club should be judged on performance, individuals like Nicholson, lawell, tisdale, I don’t know enough about them all or what they do to give a proper informed opinion but I do know “ he should go along with the rest comments etc “ are crazy comments to make ….
We need board reform, new football strategy, long term football plan, supported by the board, implemented by new faces, I agree that Nicholson should go, he’s head of a table that’s done a poor job and made too many mistakes, other board members I’d suggest at times challenged his decisions and as suggested bw may have been one of them,
Fans need to wake up, I’m here sounding like a board apologist, I can assure you I’m not but I’m steadfast in belief change is needed, I won’t accept it though at the full on disruption of our football team and accept the militant mindset that full on change is required, it isnt, it just isnt, financially we’re a great club living in a volatile football world, we have been mismanaged no doubt but we can’t just change the whole board, if dd isn’t wanting the flak, doesn’t want or interested in the challenge anymore then by all means he should sell up, doesn’t seem that way as he has the opportunity, looking at the Nancy mistake where it cost them money and seemed they where going to support him I’d suggest he is up for turning team and club around “again” it suggests he’s here to stay, we can’t always be on top, not all clubs get it right all the time, this current board aren’t helping themselves with gb issue (that isn’t an overnight fix) and failure to recognise the turmoil and devisive nature of club that needs change, they should have announced internal reviews and personnel changes to be made afterwards,
Those who want full on change may well be right and me wrong, i'm yet to hear a coherent plausible case of what the future would look like if tomorrow they where granted there wish, imo we’d get new investors and new people and be just like the sevvies, and before long when Celtic aren’t winning more protests, more throwing toys out pram, more devisive drama for the rest of Scottish football to point and laugh (look the entitled havnt won there trophy) sounds ridiculous but that’s what happens.
Wow who knew someone could talk so much crap at 6am (give myself a sore head sometimes ) bit of a rant that might not make sense but can anyone make this season make sense.
17 Jan 2026 07:29:52
He is a rampant unionist and pretend socialist. The fact he was in a Blair government and now on a torrie board tell's me he does not share our values.
17 Jan 2026 08:28:07
Jaa, what you are describing is like shuffling the deck chairs on the titanic as nothing will change.
Desmond needs removed, that has to be our number one priority. As we have witnessed over the years, Desmond is the one driving the bus and until he is removed we will continue moving in the same direction.
Once he has gone the others will follow. My preferred option is fan ownership.
17 Jan 2026 08:36:18
Joe “club open to all “ valid point tho .
Fact is once anyone tastes succes in business, takes positions of stature (board members / politicians ) you’ll be pushed to find them share your or let’s say normal fans values, while I respect how you feel the football fan in us should want us to first be a football success, the clubs being mismanaged, if your reason for him not being in position is because of above and not because he is capable then that explains a lot, In this case what’s your alternatives and ideas, your not short of negative opinion let’s hear your positive ones.
16 Jan 2026 23:43:35
He is a self- proclaimed unionist and soup taker.
17 Jan 2026 09:58:54
I want fan ownership.
17 Jan 2026 10:04:44
BW and all on our board are in place because DD wanted them there as they will do his bidding, simple as that.
When has any member of our board challenged any decision made at our club. They are all complicit in our team downgrading and our bank balance growing.
Until we have a fundemental change of board members even the decisions and processes around our club will not change, because they are driven by a dinosaur majority shareholder.
He maybe hasn't personally taken much from our club but he has cost us so much more over the last few years.
Yes we have been incredibly successful over last decade and a half but we haven't advanced in any way, our team are far weaker, our recruitment is far weaker, we have been managed to be the best in the SPFL.
As other clubs and teams in Scotland got weaker, we did the same, just staying ahead of the rest.
We have a stadium that needs so much work that the millions we have in the bank, could have prevented the huge sums now required to carry out the work needed.
There has been an obvious managed decline, the reason we will probably never know.
This window is a continuation of the recent windows, even after MN admitted they got them wring, nothing has changed.
We have been linked with 3 players who could make a real difference to our season imo but we won't get any of them.
A striker who would cose 4 mil and is scoring for fun, an international right winger who would cost 5 mil and a 6'6" rcb who looks really impressive in the air, tackling and on the ball.
We will be at the last day and we will get a couple of loans.
Its not only MON who deserves better, we as the fans deserve so much more.
17 Jan 2026 10:21:23
That’ reply sums you up, sums up your constant negative rhetoric, sums up your ability to shout down points of view but not give much back, sums up your hate, sums up your entitlement, sums up your views of the Celtic of old,
It’s a football team Joe, it’s about winning games of football,
Celtic football club a club open to all, Joe you don’t represent the clubs values either . Perhaps read the clubs mission statement, maybe it’s not the board that need to go, maybe it’s fans like you ( devils advocate due to your reply )
17 Jan 2026 12:25:45
Joe were caught in the delay of replying to one message while another exists, I’m going to stop lol,
Fan ownership, I don’t see it, I don’t see it being a success, but at least I understand where u are and what u want, I can really only speak for myself when I say I want results on park, guilty of accepting past poor performance from board as we had success and totally see the point of mismanagement over a longer period but for me wanting board gone, discussing there politics or past appointments detracts from why I care about which is the team and results, if they can get that right I don’t care or give a damn who they are, I really do believe having a fan as the controlling stake holder at some point benefits us as dd has shown hel dig deep perhaps (maybe not now) all ifs buts and maybes, let’s hope we can talk more about the football in future instead of this stuff.
