So we bring Welsh back but if we use him in one game this month he can't go to another club due to the games he played for motherwell, baffled what was the point unless it was to bring cash in, he's better than Murray so for me we keep him for the season or dare I say it buy one.

Does that mean if he plays One match for Celtic he can only go back to Motherwell and not a 3rd club?
If that’s the case I would be putting him on the bench instead of Murray and if he plays then he can go back to Motherwell if need be.
I don’t see the need for a 3rd club because Motherwell has been a good fit for Welsh.
Or does Motherwell twice count as a 3rd club?
{Ed007's Note - Yes Buzz, you can 9nly play for 2 different clubs a season although you can register with 3 - was it Scott Bain we signed like that??
Welsh was recalled to cover Simson-Pussey's exit but he was coming back anyway as there are clubs interested in signing/buying him and he wants to explore his options, the deadline on the recall option was yesterday.

Tough watch last night and really highlighted how much Trusty's confidence has gone, probably due to Nancy's tactics over-exposing him. He's back up to Scales at best and we need to play a right footed CB as a priority. Either SW or DM would be better.
The first half was particularly bad as Falkirk pressed well as a team and like other teams who press high against us, they nullified our play out from the back game. On the other hand, our press involved only Maeda as the rest stood off and allowed them to play through us with ease. McGlynn obviously paid attention to Motherwell defeat.
Starting Engels and Nygren as our "attacking" midfielders did not work as both dropped back and continually fired passes straight back to our under pressure defenders or even goalie. I have been very critical of KS this season but he almost single handedly won us the 3 points.
We played like this under Rogers and once or twice under MON too with the difference only the results. Maybe MON has been sainted and we are charmed under him?

I think reading between the lines of what Martin initially said was he is back but if we get someone else in, he will go back to well. He is back 'just in case'.
We all know with MN record he will be here the rest of the season.

It really was a tough watch and night and day to the United game. Celtic have frequently struggled away from home under 'all' our managers but domestically MON is the only man who hasn't lost. Austin Trusty was immense for MON first time around but continually being left as the last (and only) man under WN and conceding so many goals has really affected him. Schmeichel has also been bad in recent games but probably saved us last night and he owed us that. Going forward with a string of away games on the horizon does worry me as it is crystal clear we still need quality additions and why our beloved Board have done nothing as usual will not only detract from what MON is doing, but will give our rivals a boost and possible advantage.
A few people mentioned the surface last night being a factor, but we did struggle for periods and our wide men rarely passed the full back - apart from the goal. Three points is obviously the important thing but we really need better firepower in case goal diffewrence becomes a factor?

Cheers Ed.
It would only make sense not including him if there was a chance of Welsh getting a permanent move in this transfer window.

Fully agree with your 'firing the ball back' point. We put more pressure on ourselves and it was not necessary. The surface was unpredictable and it could have been costly. I was happy to see KS take the long ball option later in the game. Is hitting it long really so bad? It worked well enough for 100 years or so.

The problem with hitting it long is our forwards are mostly on the small side, so it is unlikely they will win the ball. Also most of them are crap at holding the ball up and laying it off.

Obviously our forwards are not the biggest but they are very quick. It doesn't need to be the goalie hitting it long but surely with their pace, our strikers, (Maeda/ Kenny) can spin out wide to find space. Plenty teams seem to be able to do it to us!
Another thing that irks me about Trusty is how useless he is in the opposition box at set plays. For the size of him it's ridiculous he can't get onto more crosses and the odd one he does, he seldom hits the target. Even last night I noticed he was being marked by their little left winger, (Yeats) who he should have been able to ragdoll as he pleased. Both Welsh and Murray at least offer a threat in the opposition box.
