First round of wc looks pretty fixed for better teams to progress although a huge 32 team knockout faze also means there's protector anyone that doesn't start great, with the amount of lesser teams in tournament you've got to think there's a few players to be had.

It's difficult judging players on international performance as it's a completely different game. Need to be careful with those kinds of signings. Club level is so much higher than international.

Huge mistake changing it to 48 teams. Far too many also rans that will take serious pumpings. No football fan needs to see france put 10 goals past curacao. The 1st month of it will be far too predictable.
But at the end of the day it all comes down to money with fifa.
