Not a huge fan of the lap of honour after games big games perhaps the exception, good to hear Mccowan revealing Martin asking if we'd won a cup when the players did it at home ?.

I was at the 1965 League Cup victory over Bhuns, tradition up to that point allowed winners to do a Lap of Honour. I felt the Bhuns would react in their accustomed aggressive manner and sure enough they invaded the park.
Neil Mochan and Ian Young were assaulted. Not our fault but we were branded as 'One lot's just as bad as the other'. I believe a ban on laps was in place for a number of years as a result.
