Confidence comes from playing regularly and that is a reason that players like Inamura cannot get game time, BR didn't rate them, so didn't play them, which meant when they did get some game time at the end of a match, they didn't look sharp.
Sharpness comes from regular game time. There is a big difference from being fit and being match fit.
I know every player cannot play every game but players like Inamura, Bernardo and Shin have never been given a chance and I blame BR for a lot if that. It was as if he was trying to prove a point with the board.

What a weak manager Martinez of Portugal is.
Ronaldo was sent of for a swinging elbow but his Manager towing the Ronaldo line blamed everyone else for the players petulance.
He should actually be telling the player his time is past but no Martinez said opposition players had no right to defend against him physically. He was only trying his best for his team.
