The Hearts fans must be in dreamland just now how their club has been transformed this year.

Exactly one year ago after only 8 league games Hearts were trailing Celtic by an incredible 20 points.
Celtic had 22 points and Hearts only 2 points.
Hearts have also got 20 points more this season compared to this stage last season.

Hearts finished 42 behind Celtic going into the split after they finished in the bottom 6.
Hearts finished the season 40pts behind Celtic after 38 games.

I was dismissing the Hearts challenge until I started reading about what Tony Bloom actually brings to the table.
He's got a very successful system which has got off to a flier in Scotland.

I still believe Celtic will win the League but I'm definitely taking this Hearts title challenge seriously now.
I still wouldn't rule out a challenge from Sevco who are a massive 14/ 1 with the Bookies.

It's going to be a strange season with every point a prisoner and anything can happen.

I'm hoping Celtic do their usual and get the finger out and go on a winning run but I can't see it being as easy as that this season.

It's time to roll the sleeves up but this conflict surrounding our whole club is definitely making this season a leveller.

Where are the goals going to come from? Right now I wouldn't be confident of us beating Shettleston juniors!

We had the players to play fast free flowing football with the likes of Oriley Abada GG Jozo Kyogo Maeda and Jota. Now it's slow side to side and backwards. Nothing from any set plays. No right sided attacks. Kyogo and Idah brought in 17 million replaced by a free transfer and peanuts for Kenny.17 million for Khun yet no replacement.

Rodgers counting down the days till he's gone. An out of touch board. Fans turning . All turning into a huge rubbishshow.

BB were Aberdeen not in a simular position last yr as well, a mind Sherear tipped them for the league.

Aye Aberdeen had a great start to the season but so did Celtic.
Celtic actually won 14 and drawn 1 in our first 15 league games last season ( 2-2 draw with Aberdeen being the exception )
until we then had a goalless draw at Tannadice in December.

Now look at us only 10 months later.

In the 2018/ 19 season,
Hearts went 6 points ahead of Celtic under Brendan and by the time they visited Celtic Park they were 4pts ahead.
But Celtic hammered them 5-0 and then Hearts fell apart after that finishing 36pts behind Celtic.

It’s not going to be that easy this time around.

The difference to last season is Celtic were flying in the league.

If Sevco get their act together under their new manager we could be in trouble due to our own fault.

Had a feeling tony bloom would really shake up Scottish football, not this quickly though!

The data behind their transfers will close the gap to ourselves and Sevco, mostly because we're both run so poorly. He's succeeded at making Brighton a premier league club and at Union S G in Belgium, who recently won the title for the first time in 90 years.

Maybe his data was suggesting our players hitting a huge poor decline along with the instability at Sevco.

We should be well out of sight with our finances but anything could happen this year, this week feels like a crossroads already. We either kick on or it's only going to get worse.

Bloom might be the best thing that could happen to us, because it'll force us to modernise.

{Ed007's Note - Tony bloom's "shaken up scottish football" ??? It's not even Halloween ffs!}

Hearts will not win the league. We will.

Im convinced wee joe is on the wind up.

Tony Bloom will have shaken up Scottish football before Halloween if they go 8 points clear on Sunday.

{Ed007's Note - I don't know what's more cringey now, the way TRIFC fans bum up every new manager they think they're getting or the current love-in Celtic fans seem to have for Hearts - we'll see how shaken up Scottish football is come May.
Who have Hearts got in the League Cup again?}

No evidence on performances this season thus far that we will win the league. On the contrary most teams (lately we’ve had Motherwell, st Mirren and now Dundee) show no fear against us.

We are in big bother. As I said yesterday the next 2 weeks will be a massive pointer on how we will do.

Hope you are right… we will find out soon.

It’s a long long season and that’s why I would still be confident of winning the league in May if we fall 8pts behind on Sunday.

Celtic are definitely having a sticky spell which Hearts will also eventually have and time will tell how they will cope.
Hearts have also had a settled side recently which isn’t always going to be the case.

I remember 40 years ago when we pipped Hearts to the title.
Back then Celtic also had a bad spell when we lost 10-1 in the space of a fortnight in the October-November time.
We lost 4-1 to Aberdeen, 3-0 to Dundee Utd and then 3-0 to Rangers in the space of 14 days.
Our fans were demanding Davie Hay should be sacked but we still went on to win the league.

I still believe Scottish football will be shaken if Hearts go 8pts ahead on Sunday especially with what’s currently happening at Celtic but I agree nothing is won at Halloween.

Depends on the extent of our implosion. If we can sort it out and get our house in order then I reckon it could go all the way with Hearts. McInnes has a better team to manage and if he keeps them motivated it could be a very interesting second half to the season.

Can't see Sevco and Danny Rofl sorting things out this season - as they say you can't polish a turd.

{Ed007's Note - Hearts aren't allowed to spend any money in January - their fancy Jamestown Analytics partner will need to seriously earn it's keep in finding free transfer to push their title challenge.}

21 Oct 2025 21:18:41
They could perhaps get loans from. brighton or usg.

{Ed007's Note - Or Brighton or USG will "swoop in" and sign Hearts best players ? I can definitely see Shankland helping Brighton get a Euro spot in the second half of the season.}
