If Celtic sacked Nicholson started an internal review, would that suffice and appease, this talk of boycotts, leaving early, being silent is a bit of a joke, theve not done a great job supporting the manager / squad, but still spent 25 mill, still as club are the most successful in Scotland (this boards achievement) and one best run clubs in world, I think back to just a season ago when gb weren’t there and how it affected the team, I’m not standing for the happy clapper rhetoric because I recognise clubs wins and don’t focus on the losses, no one’s saying there should t be change but I wander if some fans are taking this too far.

Can only speak for myself but it would do nothing for me as it does not address the root cause, which is Dermot Desmond.

The supercilious way they have reacted I don't think they will sacrifice one of their own. Even an admission of player personnel mismanagement and incompetence, or undermining the manager is beyond them. They are collectively responsible and apparently untouchable.

Since Brendan came back in 2023,
Celtic have made a profit of €45M according to Transfermarkt.
That doesn’t include extra profit from Frimpong Etc.

Don't forget it's been a one horse league for over a decade.

I think that is the route of the problem DRB. Their liquidation has been dangled over our head as a false prophecy since 2012.
There realistically was never any danger of us going the same way as them, due to of our diligent and pennywise transfer policy and of course the avoidance of that dreaded EBT virus.
However, their demise was a perfect excuse for downsizing and cost cutting at every opportunity with complacent arrogance.
Unfortunately, this has brainwashed everyone into thinking austerity was the normal and we were lucky to have what (guaranteed) success we enjoyed, with no intention of improving and developing Celtic to their full potential - even when the 'ghost of Rangers past' arrived.

The biggest issue is and has been for a long time, is the total lack of communication between the club and fans.
There is no discussion around what the club plans to do, what their business or transfer strategy is, outside the annual pat on the back shareholders meeting.
We all know that in respect of transfers they intend to buy low and sell high, but every club want to do that.
If there was better communication, fans would know our intention going into a window, where we intend strengthening and what the Managers priorities are.
I know BR made it clear what he wanted but if we had a DOF, they would be in a position to speak on behalf of the club.
The club did not at any point come out and agree or disagree with the Manager, which made many suspect there was a rift between Manager and Board even if there wasn't, their silence ensured the media would run with the suggestion that there was and is.
The boards silence has driven this narrative also.
The window opens, nothing, media stories start escalating about players were interested in, nothing, stories we are in for certain players, nothing, those players 'reject' us, nothing, window coming to an end, nothing and after the window closes, with no real spend but profit made on selling our best assets, absolute silence.
Fans are unhappy because no one other than the Manager, who has been hung out the dry, has come out and explained what happened in the window.
They could have said, yes the Manager wants A however our position is that we can only do B and here's why.
The Sun then comes out with a story, having clearly been briefed from within the club, blaming the Manager for causing a rift and trying to create an opportunity to leave, even though BR made it clear he was staying to see out his contract.
Was it the intention from the off not to spend much on new players, were the offers we made for players genuine or just a token effort to appease fans.
Then the notorious Press release was sent out, with no one coming behind to try and explain it. Silence.
Today our Manager goes in front of the media. He is on a hiding to nothing, no matter what he says. He cannot answer for the board.
He will be asked about what he said he needed in the windiw, how he feels about not getting what he wanted and also about the Sun story.
What does he say that will not be turned into a crisis by our media.
No one from the board will be there to have his back.
I know many fans want change but how much is enough.
Total change will cause a vacuum and may lead to bigger disruption in our business and performance on and off the field.
Or do we want certain people removed, the business model to remain with a new CEO, a DOF, new board members, including a fan representative, who all hold the board to account.
Regular fan engagement.
A board who stand up to DD and leave the football side of the club to a DOF.
We have to be careful of exactly what it is we want, whatever it is, it cannot and should not impact on the players and Manager as they still have a job to do and need to know, this us not their fault.
