Hello Everyone

Out if interest, by way of a thumbs up, below who is boycotting entirely by way of attendance or by TV viewing the tic game on Sunday?

No I’m not looking for an ego boost here by a mass of thumbs up! Instead the number of thumbs up would be very interesting for all to see.

{Ed007's Note - I'd say nobody or a very small minority, we've still got a team to support. If you're refusing to watch Celtic on the TV as some sort of protest against the board you need to have a word with yourself - and for the love of God if anyone reading this is doing it PLEASE don't have your Mrs taking pics of you standing in front of a blank screen in a full Celtic kit for social media... just PLEASE DON'T!!

???.

{Ed007's Note - We'll get JFP to do it! ??

Got to laugh 369bhoy - we'll all be watching the TV for sure - if a fan boycott its got to be at home - not away.

{Ed007's Note - Just remember lads, we can't mention what channels or devices they won't be watching the game on. ?

It’s easy to sabotage a thumbs up vote from outsiders.

{Ed007's Note - And we know the TRIFC fans will be tuning in to watch the champions no matter what they vote....

Why would we laugh at 369bhoy?

Should we not be thinking boycotting of home games? OK this one is away.

Board are laughing at us especially after weak excuse for no transfers, so would hurting them with no attendance be a bad idea? make them realise.

Or we keep going and watching like sheep?

let's not laugh at someone trying to find a way to make the board realise.

{Ed007's Note - You answered your own question there:

"Should we not be thinking boycotting of home games? OK this one is away."

I can’t wait to watch our team Sunday, club issues aside we have two exciting signings (hopefully) we paid decent money for and a striker hopefully raring to go to kickstart his career again,

Watch the game, if you have a ticket, go to the game. The team need us more now than ever. As for EL tickets and cup tickets, that's different. Again up to each, but my own belief is we do this, and buy no merchandise. If you have weans, explain to them why. Hopefully every other Celtic Da and Ma will be doing the same, so the weans won't feel left out. :)

{Ed007's Note - I said on the podcast we need to find a way to support the team while keeping pressure on the board, I'm not keen on silences or coming in late, leaving early type of stuff and would never tell anyone what to do with their money but the less season ticket holders that take up cup or EL tickets the more guys will have a chance to take their kids to a game. A high percentage of tickets will be available for public sale rather than any direct debit etc so the ST holders have made their stance clear and the team are still being supported by the "day trippers", it's a fine balance that some common ground needs to be found.
Again, the boycotting of merchandise is a hard on if you've got kids especially, trying telling a 7-year old he can't get a new top because Peter Lawwell's c**t?
Nice to se you back in the land of the living MP and having a sensible chat ??

I won't boycott going to games as the board won't hear my sack the board chants.

The message I’m seeing is potentially boycotting Europa games. This is coming from the same folks who participated in the discussion.

09 Sep 2025 20:42:48
Although I just suggested everyone’s Mrs take pics of them standing in front of a blank screen in a full Celtic kit for social media.

I'd say maybe a targeted silence. Say for 5 minutes at a given point in each match. Followed by a rousing roar like the one you get after the Champions League tune and getting behind the team again. I think that would more than make the point.

Would it be enough to effect change?

Probably not Weejoe. Definitely not. But it would walk a line between full-on protests during matches to the detriment of the team (we don't want to become like that lot, booing their own players) and turning up and supporting them as if everything was OK. It would send a message that we're supporting the team on the pitch while exercising our right to protest against the higher ups.

Choosing a minute to start the 5 minutes silence, what time would it start, need to have a meaning, so even media idiots could work it out.

I thought last minute because that's our transfer strategy but that would obviously be for a minute (duh! ) .

I think it's a good idea though, it would send a message.

Boycotting buying merchandise, season tickets or even EL tickets, again might not work, as there are so many people waiting for ST, they would still sell and many who don't have ST, would buy the EL packages as the club would change the purchasing criteria and may still buy merchandise as will those with kids

Very difficult to tell kids or grandkids they cannot get the psychedelic 3 kit?

Taking all this into consideration, it will unlikely make a difference to the board, because it is only in the bank balance that we will hurt them, or if we concede the league to Sevco.

I would never want the latter and would not want to hurt the club.

The board will be expecting something but will know our fans will not do anything to hurt the club we love.

I think silence is a good way, as it gives us the opportunity to get right behind the team for the remainder of the game and they will need it after the break as they will have seen and read how many think they are not good enough to wear the strip.

Difficult few weeks ahead for fans and players to unite again.

Any protest needs to clearly support the players and target the board imho.
