I understand there was a meeting of the Celtic trust last night in regards to the rubbishshow that's going on at the clubb but it didn't go very well.
Does anyone know what's happened and the meeting or was anyone there?

I didn’t go too well as far as my limited understanding goes - apparently the three businessmen who put them forward as ‘trustees’ concluded that they couldn’t work with the current regime - meeting was a burst baw after 45 minutes I believe and the 3 of them are away for a rethink. There’s maybe somebody on here knows more of the finer details.

So maybe not everyone is of the same mind that the Board have a lot to do with the rubbish going on at the club . Can I once again explain what really has gone wrong with our great club.
June 2024, after a strange turn of events BR announced that he had last say on all signings . Throughout season 2024/ 2025 it became obvious that the board. Had backed BR heavily almost £30m and the outfield players were not definite starters . Nevertheless Board despite some doubts agreed to very high earner K T return with signing on contract and roughly double what the other top earners earn. Nygren quickly followed by goalie Ross Doohan, young player Osmand and youth I English, next come Inamura and Shin. But apparently our Head of recruitment signed them off, so manager took huff and gave them cold shoulder. Around this time employee B R publicly criticised and ridiculed Board over quality of signings Although Board new the amount of money on BR signed off players a year ago represented very poor value in deed as none were ist team gtd starters. They didn’t want to destroy good name of club and said nothing .
Next we had is tie play off CL play off and our fans instead of doing their job of encouraging team to victory subdued atmosphere by chanting sack the board.
Of course the h. ns SMSM sewed the seeds and our gullible fans did the rest .
The Board signed Pusey on loan and Saracchi and Tourneti and Balikwisha and on final day and Finally Iheanacho
That amounts to 9 first team players . Board hasn’t spent near as much money as when BR had final say last summer, but that didn’t work out B’well .
If it had and we had 4 absolute stars which is what we expected, we certainly would have a very good team this season . It is far too early to access the strength of this summer’s signing .
What us fans need to do because winning SPL is more important to us, than manager BR and players ( who along with BR are only passing through) and Board.

So, this board have damaged the reputation of this club, contributed to the loss of CL revenue, and alienated the vast majority of its support for the sole purpose of spite for BR, a coach that they employed. Fuck, we’re in a worse state than I thought.

Chasabhoy, I think the Board realised that the signing only of players signed off would have to stop immediately . Celtic spent a fortune in Season 24/ 25 on sub standard players none of there were capable of commanding a first team position week after week . I, nor does any one else know to what level Board will pay. for a player who would be a first team player .
Every Board in the World who presides over a successful club, will have its upper limits and will only break it for an exceptional player . Our Board could not continue with the same level of spending with the same man having final say . The vain BR still demonstrates how the power he grabbed giving him the final say stay has a negative effect on team . 3 players signed in mid window apparent without his final saying have been undeservedly dropped from Europe, Shin Inamura and Pusey . All 3 have been virtually ignored especially Pusey, who in fairnesss to BR he hasn’t let us see him in any action, so he may not be good enough.
This season even before window open Celtic Board, on the urgings of BR and Supporters to break their wages cap by approximately 100%, most fans and BR were delighted by signing K T whose contract has expired
However it now looks as this determination to please fans and manager could well be a foolish one, as K T clearly isn't fit and we have played 7 games into our season. . I am perturbed my K T ‘s attitude coming back to what he calls his boyhood favourites, at such high wages + a considerable signing on fee, after not using the services of a personal trainer throughout close season, so that he would rejoin us as fit as possible.
It’s a possibility that K T is at his peak fitness level and if that is the case, I don’t blame the many fans, as they were only following like a flock of goats and had no way of assessing his fitness level but BR should have known better . He should have made sure he had assessed his fitness level and made appropriate decision. Imagine the outcry if Board had said after his medical examination that they were no longer interested in signing him, there might even have been chants of “ sack the Board “ from fans instead of supporting and encouraging our players and Manager in the C L Qualifying play off round.

Great post 19Celtic50. Pretty much sums it up. We should be seeing the best of our big money signings from last season this season but one is away and two including our record signing still can't hold down a starting place. Our top earner can't finish a game. BR mumbling about quality is a laugh to be honest!

Football players are like jigsaw pieces, they don’t always fit or sometimes need other pieces to function. The two of you sound like some aggrieved relative of board members. Our so called transfer record you keep bleating about is some thing that has never kept pace with inflation. And no matter what your thoughts and opinions are, this board is not progressing this club in any way. The reason all the fan groups are reacting is that we have seen and heard it all before and most of us want something different. Whether you like it or not, you are in the minority.
