Is the Board literally telling BR he got over £25m and that can't happen every year. Are they waiting to see the CL qual draw before panic buying? Are Celtic just not attracting the standard of players the manager requested for one reason or another? Or are there any other factors?
Personally, I know we still have the nucleus of the title winning team but I see several potential weaknesses and thought we would have addressed the gaps that needed filled to improve us in key areas.

1. What is our financial budget for player purchases?
2. Based on the above where are we scouting to meet the value of player we can afford?
3. What players are genuinely rated from our youth academy, to then be allowed to be part of the first team pre-season with a pathway to the first team?
4. Who are surplus to requirements and need to be moved along?

We have just come off the back of our first season avoiding the usual mediocrity of European football, and our answer to the apparent riches the competition provided is:-
A) sell our best striker
B) sell our best performing winger

Yes A&B probably asked to be moved on, but surely there are funds from their sales to spend, and targets should've been identified ages ago and the price range we can manage, that's why we should've been heavier in the J-League market, cheaper players of decent quality, KT is obviously the bargain we never thought was happening this time last year, but still, this is not a statement of intent from the board.

CCV has ran his race should've been punted while his stock is high
CalMac is ageing and nobody to get near his place
Bernardo and Engels still aren't near the level we are expecting for what we have paid
Idah paid for himself with the lucrative riches the CL gave us, Shin might be the bargain buy time will tell.

Why we can't recruit and intergrate before the start of the season is beyond me.

And get on the phone to adidas these kits are absolutely atrocious, who OKs these because we clearly need a rebrand if this continues.

Tbh I actually quite like the home kit and the black kit. The pastel one will likely be a grower. As for the rest of your post, yes it's frustrating, but maybe we're not jumping the gun, paying over the odds for players that aren't of significant value. The genuine quality players will have their agents holding out to see their player get the best possible move financially for their player and also themselves. Yes we would all love to be oven baked, ready for the start of the league and the CL playoff, but realistically we should be beating what we're drawn against. I'd expect a winger in the door before the tie and we will gauge what's needed after that's been decided. Not many quality players are drawn to playing in Scotland, it's the CL that's the biggest draw for signing with us. And until that's decided the big money won't be spent.
