We've now got Idah, Kenny, Osmand and Yamada in and may be getting a ready made one in.
Will BR be changing formation/ style to play two up top or will be looking at selling either Kenny or Idah.
{Ed007's Note - There was talk of Kenny being available for £1m but it now looks like the plan is for him to sign a new contract and go out on loan

While I would like another striker, I think we may be done in that position this window. However, I would imagine the sensible thing to do is assess what we have quickly an then decide our next move.

The limited times I have seen Kenny the more I think there is a player there and to be honest I think he will be better than Idah.

Having signed a laddie from Fulham who hasn’t played a game of senior football and a J-League player who’s had a barren season to date - Idah as our first choice striker and Kyogo not as yet replaced 6 months down the line - a champions league qualifier fast approaching - and £100m in our coffers - I certainly hope we aren’t ‘done’ in the search for a first choice striker. Given the above though and with Kenny there and with two jobs Maeda able to play on the wing and through the middle I fear though that my hopes might be misplaced and what Rodgers has described as ‘club signings’ could be all we are getting to his and my own dismay. Cue the ‘trust the process’ the board are doing their best brigade.

Boyd 88, we play 2 or 3 strikers, just not at the same time .
I MOo. and I could well be wrong I think we need at least 4 front line strikers capable of playing mainly as striker and that doesn’t include Maeda who it appears we need as left winger as we yet haven’t signed enough left wing talent, however we all know things can change very quickly in football.

We need two first choice strikers and a backup. It’s not how many it’s how good. Quality not quantity as per the managers repeated requests.

JFP, I am sure that if the Board ever cared about what negative doomsday contributors had to offer, they certainly are no longer interested in trying to appease them . Whether they are still trying to please BR is the big unknown . Maybe they are and are only signing players he has indicated he wants, or maybe they have decided that BR is leaving at the end of season and that they are not interested in listening to him as last season’s signings as a result of BR requests may not have satisfied the Board .
The Board may have a problem spending much money on striker, centre midfield and cb as maybe they spent much of their twenty four month budget in these areas of team last summer and don’t want to upset their budget targets so soon . We really don’t know, and we are not entitled to know as such information is likely to benefit our neighbours.

We had a negative net spend last summer, so I doubt we have blown this years budget. Plus that is not how budgets work.

I think Idah and Yamada will be the two first choice with Osamand as back up and Kenny out on loan.

I'd rather we send Osmund out somewhere to get proper first team football. It's a waste of time sending him to the Highland league it'll do nothing to improve his game. Surely Queens Park or Ayr would be a decent destination for him to get some minutes.

Weejoe, I imagine the Board has a budget on what is the max they spend in each area of team . It just wouldn’t make sense to have just one over all budget . In addition the Board has a budget on the number of players they have for each area of team . For example maybe 5 centre halves maximum with a total wage of a certain amount of money, that is why we probably won’t buy a centre back this season as we have Scales Trusty CCV Murray ¤tly injured Walsh . Most clubs Boards wouldn’t want more than five, some might accept 6 but Board will normally insist in getting rid of by selling and loaning one before signing.
