Kuhn is officially away to Italy.
Celtic got great money considering Kuhn was only at Celtic for 18 months.

Kuhn got 6 goal contributions from January to May 2024.
He then had outstanding stats of 25 goal contributions from August to December 2024.
His goal contributions dropped to 11 from January to May 2025.

That's an impressive profit on a player who had a great 5 months at Celtic.

And surely there's another two wingers for a similar price we picked him up for, ready to compete in this squad, the larger fees guarantee nothing.

Great post, Buzz.

I have to say, I’m personally quite happy to see Kuhn move on. Yes, he was one of our top performers last season, and his stats were genuinely impressive for a winger, replacing that level of output won’t be easy.

That said, even during his best spell in the first half of the season, I often felt he drifted out of games. There were long stretches where he didn’t offer much either defensively or offensively. Too often he became predictable, cutting inside repeatedly and making it easier for defenders to shut him down.

The fee we received was slightly below what I was hoping for, but it’s still a solid return considering what we paid for him. Hopefully, the profit from his sale gives us the flexibility to bring in someone of even higher quality this window. And with any luck, it also means we can hold on to key players like Maeda and Hatate for at least another season.

That makes sense, Turner 1984, particularly as even very good experienced footballers can be bought for a very small fee if their existing contracts have a year or less to run .
I think if we could buy one player to play solely on the right side and another player who is equally at ease playing across all 3 attacking positions we should be ok .
Despite our reservations of the SPL there are many useful players currently playing their football in leagues and they reckon SPL is a step in the right direction to further their career.

Buzz . Do we not need to share percentage with two teams? Also see the Swedish boys transfer to nice has fell through.

Yes DRB but it’s not much.
I can’t remember the exact amount but one club is about £160k and the other club isn’t much more.

It us a laugh reading some of our medias comments about our potential (i only use the word because they use it) signings.

One such writer has written about how Balikwisha would be a risk due to his injury history, and also suggests Louie Barrie as an option but also describes his injury history.

The next day the same writer is suggesting that we sign Calvert-Lewis, who is probably on 100k a week and has a horrendous injury history.

None of the players we are linked with get a free ride, our media find fault with them all but when you buy from a lower league, your buying a potential superstar or loaning players no one wants, they are great finds who only wanted to go play there in front if their fantastic (sectarian) fans, probably as no other club will pay the stupid wages they will be paying.

2 or 3 quality signings in the right positions and we will be miles ahead of them and will do well in CL imo.

DRB not going to lie was that deal even on the cards? I had a feeling it would fall through or something would happen as I felt it was a tactic to get us to pay what they wanted so they pulled a fast one hoping we’d bite. If it goes through I’ll hold my hands up but something doesn’t seem right with that deal, maybe Ed can clear that up for me as I’m not getting to read much these days due to visits to the Beatson for treatment but read wee bits here and there about this deal and obviously wasn’t convinced due to the transfer fee etc HH.

{Ed007's Note - Hi SW, hope you're doing OK and keeping your chin up mate ??Sorry it took so long to get back to you I was at a night out last night.
The Jansson deal to Nice has went through now and I'm amazed that they paid what they did, it's a strange one alright and I'm glad Celtic walked away when the asking price kept rising.}
