Out of omitted players a few will probably move on in transfers (possibly maeda as well) some are good squad players the rest it's just their times up with little or no prospects of a playing future . I know it's a major overhaul
with problems being is there enough time to recruit / get ready . and more crucially commitment from board to implement something like this . too many too soon or needed? Opinions please.

We definitely don't need a RW when we have Khun and Forrest. We need a LW if Jota is out for 9 months. Suppose Forrest could cover LW aswell. But agree with everything else.

Be interesting to see if Tillio gets a chance at the start of next season with Jota out and maybe Kuhn and Maeda sold, hope Maeda stays obviously.

I am sticking with Engels. He is 21 and this was his first season, yet his figures were good. He showed glimpses of what we will hopefully see next season. The physicality of our league probably surprised him this season.
McGowan did nothing wrong, so why get rid of him. He has a lot to offer.
A replacement for Hatate as he will be gone I think and also a longterm replacement for CM as we don't have that in our team at this time.
A left winger is a must, and I agree potentially 2 CB's as CCV will be away and not sure Trusty or Scales really good enough. Trusty has the pace and Scales the physicality, but neither has both.
Narowski has shown in glimpses he's a good player so he may get his chance.
A striker to battle with Idah, sorry to say Kenny isn't that player imo.
I LB to challenge KT if GT is not staying.
Schlupp looked good at the beginning but the last few games I have seen him cause or defence problems by losing the ball trying to go forward orby passing to team mates putting them under pressure.
Defensively he has not looked solid.
Regarding the left wing position, if Maeda stays, will it be because he wants to play at CF where he looked happier, if so we will need to replace him out wide.
I am still in the fence with Yang, recently he looks a better player the more game time he gets but is he good enough to really challenge Maeda and Jota for first choice.
It is going to be a big summer and it will define the future of BR imo, whether or not he signs a new contract.

Hopefully after winning the treble and having had a good European Campaign, I am not sure an overall with bringing in 7 new players ( including Tierney ) is the way to improve our successful team .
Our work rate, tactics and team work has our team stronger than the sum of our players .
The only way we can improve on this season is bringing in players to boost certain areas of team, without interfering with current team work and tactics .
BR is very proud of our ist team and currently 6/ 7 subs who know exactly how to fit in with the way team plays .
Bringing in 6/ 7 players would upset all the hard work BR and coaches to develop BR game plan and lead to team making mistakes all over pitch.

Des, BR has said if we sell no one, he still needs 3 new first team players. Add that to potentially 3 or 4 leaving, the potential is 5 to 6 possibly coming in, that includes KT.
This is a very important window for BR but more importantly Celtic.

Does anyone know if Rodgers and The Board are having the contract discussion before or after the transfer window opens?
The thing that could be interesting is that if Rodgers decides to end his 3 year contract then why would the Board spend big for another manager to come in and dismantle BR's squad? If the Board backs Rodgers and he stays then expect to get a better quality of player in.

This season we've dominated domestically, yet again, scorin more goals than any other team and conceding the least amount of goals in our league.
We also had a good run in the CL, where in a few matches, only small errors/ lapses cost us points.
With that said, I'd like to see us sign;-
* CB (x2)
* LB (back up? )
* MF
* CDM
* RW
* Striker
I can see bids coming in for CCV, Hatate, Kuhn and Palma.
Forrest is a bit part player and shouldn't even be considered a back up at RW as we require better.
We will also get approx £8M when Frimpong signs for Liverpool.
If those above are sold it could bring in approx £50M in transfer fees but, as ever, who replaces the 3 starters in particular, is crucial, if we're to improve.
Engels has done well for me in his first season and will improve further next year.
BR is apparently due to sit down with DD soon and that meeting could go a long way in signalling how serious the club is when it comes to backing our manager. ?

Maedainparadise. I agree with BR we need to sign 3/ 4 quality players to bring on the natural improvement in our team that we need to make from one season to the next . However if we lose 3/ 4 quality players it will be exceptionally difficult to maintain this years standard next season.
The reason we have had such a good season is not necessarily down to the quality of our players . This doesn’t really apply in domestic football as even with 2/3 missing we still have more quality than the rest . However if we’re unlucky enough to have 2/ 3 missing from the one position it would create problems.
In Europe we are often playing and beatings teams that have better players than us, that’s probably the only way we can have success in Europe . If we have to change more than half our outfield players, it’s very unlikely that we will have built an understanding of all our play and team work to beat teams who come from top 5 leagues and have better players thanus, but these were teams we beat and got results against last season.
