Celtic were 4 minutes from a piece of history tonight. Prior to this evening, we had won 9 league home games without conceding, we have never won 10 in a row without losing a goal. It would have been some feat but excellent result tonight!

If Aberdeen took their chances, we could have been in another Hibernation scenario!
Great result, performance not so. 3 first half goals killed the contest, but do our back four trust the players in front of them? Because the way they contort to go back defies even what BR says he wants as in getting forward quicker.
This is not being negative, on the contrary, it’s about how we get better. As much as we have excelled in Europe, we have not so much struggled at home as have made things more difficult than they should be.
Everyone has their favourite players but football is about evolving, and our use of transfer windows still isn’t where it needs to be.

That was a 5-4 game if Aberdeen turned up. Fortunately they didn't. Trusty just isn't up for a tussle. Loses out too easily. Ccv pedestrian going through the attack lines. Still result is on the board. Over to our closest challengers to follow.

Chasaboy, I think you will see an improvement in March . For a very large part of the season so far we have been playing two games a week . Not only can this be very tiring on the players, it also creates a lot of difficulty for our manager and coaches, as they have very little time to work on defensive structures and on attacking moves . No more mid week games until the last week of SPL,
However we should be mindful of the fact that we were just a couple of mins from creating a Scottish top league record of 10:home wins in a row without concealing a goal . Also we can’t complain too much about Celtic lack of scoring power as we are heading towards one of the top goal totals ever scored We may look sluggish at times and seem to be playing without our usual zest and excitement but BR usulally seems to pull us out of our slumbers.

Personally I thought it was a good response after defeat at Easter Road… Engels and Maeda were immense (again) , Yang progressing, and Trusty just needs to be a bit tougher…. Calmac needs a rest when it’s safe to do so ?.

Trusty still hasn’t got himself mentally and physically right to take on the robust strikers that many SPL clubs play . It isn’t just the strikers pulling and pushing that causes Trusty the problems, it’s the way the referees up here rarely calls a foul against them . Trusty gets too much involved pulling and holding attackers and often doesn’t get off the ground . He will have to change and concentrate on going for and winning ball, as his retaliation against striker bullying him will soon cost us in penalties.
