Re signing on jota. on the face on it we got the worse deal. how can a player that is not playing be worth the same as our main striker. Better that a goal every 2 games.

It's a ridiculous deal, we sell our best striker before an important champions league game, and we buy a winger, who by the sound of it has had his head turned by the big Saudi money, and no longer has the same motivation as he had previously,

Better than one goal every 2 games but that was 2 seasons ago.
He’s nearly one goal in every 3 games for the last 18 months.

Jota has more potential because he’s 5 years younger.
To get Jota for Kyogo is a great deal and a no brainier especially if we can get a good striker signed to replace him.

Kyogo recently went 16 away league games without scoring a goal.
That’s very poor for our main striker playing in a below average league.
Take the money and run.

Kyogo is the highest level striker who is going through a lean patch, he will come good again, Jota might have already fulfilled his potential, there is a reason he wasn't setting the heather on fire in France, we will find out soon enough, it's still crazy to sell Kyogo before the AV game, who is making these transfer decisions, first Idah, now Kyogo and Jota.

No doubt Kyogo was great for us and I wish him well, but the amount of chances he missed was horrendous.

Aindoh … he wanted to leave (months ago) and it showed.

In reality if Jota comes in, and it will take time for him to get up to speed, and he can improve, we can sell him on in 2 to 3 years for a profit again. It could be a great bit of business, as is getting 10 mil for Kyogo, who is now 30.

It has been obvious looking back now that Kyogo was not happy and was looking for a move.

Not that he had downed tools like others before him but he wasn't as sharp or prolific.

I for one wish him all the best and thank him for a fantastic 3.5 years.

His work ethic is amazing.

Aindoh, it’s unlikely anyone at Celtic had control over the timing of Kyogo’s sale. They could well have had to work hard to get him to agree to remain a Celtic player until qualification for next stage of Champions League had been achieved. If that is the case, Celtic could do nothing more .
My biggest worry is Kyogo seemed to be the leader of the Japanese players and we could see departure of Maeda and Hatate in the summer at the latest . IMO Maeda is one of our most important players and we need him to stay for years longer.

If he wanted to leave months ago, why not tell he would be sold in the summer, is madness letting him go just now .
