Can't help but feel there is more to BR's comments than meets the eye. He has been a big advocate of the support from day1 and moans and groans have been a factor in both his terms at the club. Whether it's a distraction to take heat from players and/ or his stubbornness or to work his ticket only time will tell. One thing for sure, he has created a bit of a rift between himself and some of the support.

Don’t think there’s a rift I just think he shows every now and then he’s a bit of a dick, still want him as manager and have faith in him and definitely have faith in the team, amount of games, weather, time of year, usually we enjoyed a wee break about now to recharge so maybe where at that point and we as fans need to give them a break, I wish Brendan maybe just the moans and groans on chin and moved on, instead he’s still talking / stop talking mate we’ve a game tomorrow, and if yer pish first 20 mins again expect the same I’d imagine.

Just because someone has a different opinion than u have doesn’t mean that person is a bit of a dick. Celtic football club consists of very many people with many different opinions and it is good that we allow people to express whatever opinion they hold . I think we have some fans who are quick and loud to abuse and criticise some of our players . For some reason G Taylor has got more than his share of abuse, I don’t like him getting this as I think it is undeserved but neither me nor any other fan have a right to prevent fans expressing their view . If the Board, manager or others with some Celtic authority think that it isn’t fair surely that person in authority is right and probably has a duty to speak out . If BR wants GT to stay and he says so he would be angry if fans ridicule and abuse forces GT out.

Des Brendan is at times a dik, do some reading about him, a dik can still be a good manager though, hence my opinion of him is a good one.

Jaa he is a bit of a dick. I'm certainly not his biggest fan as a person. However there's a fine line between confidence and arrogance and he's started a wee bit there for me. Confidence is result based. Arrogance is too much self belief. He maybe needs to catch himself there.

I have very little interest in the personality of our manager . Having a drink with him would be the last thing on my mind .
All I want from BR is to continue keeping Celtic team the best in Scotland, winning nearly every match with an attractive brand of football most of the game .
His results has earned our respect. Our players seem to like him and they seem to enjoy playing for him . He treats our players well, with plenty of rotation and use of subs to help out our hardest workers. He and our s and c team appear to do a great job as we have minimum injuries and even at this busy period of season we have only one injury in squad . That to me speaks volumes for his management and for the way our players react with him.

Des he was a bit too condescending and insulting towards the fans, purely by his choice of words as his reasoning of asking for patience and saying team needs support is absolutely the right thing to do especially for the players, but his contempt imo has put even more spotlight on the issue and even more pressure on the players, it’s definitely out of proportion now aswell but there is and was a large portion of fans that can’t stand his way of playing, I hear them every game and won’t go away.

And just on Rodgers, he’s definitely the man for the job, stories aside I don’t know if the ignorance and arrogance we hear of is actually true, but he certainly seems to get respect from certain young players who want to work with him and who do progress and for celtics current way of working then it’s exactly what we need, my question mark would be around the young talent that seems to not progress, nawrocki, lagerbielke thom etc etc, is it the players?
I’d rather Celtic had a different model where it was a clear playing identity and progressive manager who developed whole teams, where the club had better mix of quality and experience at a higher cost but a bigger quota if young sellable assets coming into first team, but I can’t see this ever being where we are .

Brendan is doing a great job, sure he has a touch of arrogance but he’s winning nearly everything in Scotland and now going well in Europe. Too many overly sensitive fans reading too much into what he’s saying and taking things out of context. Let’s not start a civil war over Brendan and KT or Jota maybe coming back. It’s a great time to support Celtic- get behind the manager!

Just read the post above this one it covers everything that needs to be covered.

It is difficult for Celtic to employ God the father at this time, as even for him he has a lot on his hands with the climate crisis, Ukraine, Israelis hell bent on killing every innocent men women and child who breathes the same air as them . Even God’s hands are full, for now we have to do with the human like figure with white teeth and weather beaten face . I have to say BR ‘s hat is hung on a shaky peg, he has only beaten the super 2012’s five times out of 7, won every SPL, trebles including invincible treble . Really all he needs to do is change his tooth paste and we won’t look enviously to see how well God is managing his wee problems and won’t care if he is free soon.
