Guys thanks for the replies

I havnt put in the usual suspects

Forrest, brown Johansen gordon,

commons for me their not on their

game .

Wee1888 that's one of the reasons

For me starting Allen, we need to

See him in his role for more than

the usual 1520 mins .

I'm really looking forward to

tomorrow its going to be a great

Game and a good test .

I don't know how any the new boys

will play but we need to get them in

The team sooner rather than later.

Sorry for the long post :)

In what way will Allen improve our starting 11, a championship player, Christie would be better but our best players when fit is rogic by a country mile so why drop him for a championship player I don't understand.

2.) 20 Feb 2016 09:41:49
Tom Rogic hasn't done anything either - he's played around 10/ 15 games this season and scored a few good goals in the SPL, God help us! The problem is we have Champions League qualifiers in a few month and even Ronny Deila doesn't know his best 3 to play behind the striker, and I don't blame him too much because there's not a great deal between them! We don't have 1 that you would stick your life on! If there was a game tomorrow it would probably be Armstong/ Johansen/ Rogic even that doesn't work properly because neither of them have the dribbling or pace to play wide, it's a shambles! On top of that Ronny doesn't seem to learn, or change anything! It's really incredible! It's almost as though John Park and whoever else are trying to buy players who don't fit a 4231. Molde lost 3-0 the other night but if we played them tomorrow it's a certainty we'd make the same mistakes and probably lose! That's why I'm losing the sympathy I had for Deila - he doesn't learn. As well as that we can't pass and control the ball, if you can do both those things it makes the formation less important!

3.) 20 Feb 2016 10:27:58
Rogic has played about 30 in all competitions scoring 7 has he not.

4.) 20 Feb 2016 11:00:29
When you watch rogic on the ball he is our stand out player by a mile, his skill and pass is class, it's no surprise that wee had our few bd results recently when he was injured.

5.) 20 Feb 2016 11:06:57
He's not played 30 games this season, well he's not been playing in most of the games I've been at! He's been here about 3 years and not proved himself - that's my point! You have to do it over a few seasons - look at Johanssen, he at least played every game last year and was very consistent, but it was 1 season! Every league in the world has players that play above themselves for short bursts in the grand scheme of things it means nothing!

6.) 20 Feb 2016 11:14:54
He has made 23 starts and 9 sub appearances. Scoring 7 goals

7.) 20 Feb 2016 11:15:20
In all competitions

8.) 20 Feb 2016 11:51:33
He has had a right bad start with injuries but looks very tidy on the ball and can finish too. I could see him really kick on this season if given a decent run. Don't think he can really be judged yet with the start stop nature of his first 2 years at the club.

9.) 20 Feb 2016 12:05:14
I know Johansen has had a lot of criticism and to be fair he has earned it, but I still think he has experience and attributes that others lack in the middle and if he sorts himself out he could be a big player for years to come.
I read that he may be offski in the summer and if so, we really would need a similar type of player brought in.
He may have his flaws, but so does Brown and to be honest he has not been any worse than the captain, but takes a lot more flak.

10.) 20 Feb 2016 23:18:44
He's started 19 games this season and come on 5 times as a sub in all competitions - I said he had played around 10-15 times and I meant in the league! I don't know what you're raving away about Kev, or if you're looking at his stats on Wpedia - it says on that he's played just over 30 games since he signed! I know he's had injuries but when you're fit you should be able to play over 50 games a season! He's been here more than 3 years!

11.) 21 Feb 2016 08:54:35
He's started 19 in the league alone

Ficklefan

1.) 19 Feb 2016 19:54:32
Would have liked to see Bailly given a bit of a run to be fair. Was hoping that he wasn't just in for the cup game but can only assume at this stage that he just doesn't look the part in training.

2.) 19 Feb 2016 20:06:11
Again why Allen?

3.) 19 Feb 2016 20:16:34
Gordon
Lustig boyata sivechtko Tierney
Forrest brown Bitton johansen Roberts
Griffiths.

4.) 19 Feb 2016 20:21:48
I would'nt have allen anywhere near starting just now. So i would change him rogic. Also i don't think ronny will start young roberts anytime soon. Undeniable talent though.

{Ed007's Note - Roberts didn't play in the Development Squad's 1-0 win against Dundee Utd's D.S. earlier today and the murmur is he could be in the squad tomorrow.}

5.) 19 Feb 2016 20:30:16
This is one of my problems with Ronny - he picks players every week who don't deserve it! I don't know if he is scared to drop them, whether he wants to keep certain players onside, we all know little cliques develop, and new players etc gravitate towards certain groups, so who knows. What I do know is Gordon has been poor since he signed his new contract. The bits I've seen of Bailly have been impressive, he seems confident and has good experience. We definitely didn't need another Zaluska who was going to sit and be a happy backup for his whole career! This is the stuff that kills me - whether it's Park, Lawwell or Park signing the players, I think the 3 of them decide together, anyway we are wasting fortunes on players who won't improve us/ won't walk into the team! It's bizarre! We don't use the big squad, and the players he picks/ was picking don't deserve it, how Forrest is even on the bench is incredible, he hasn't had a 9 out of 10 for bloody years! For me Allan has never looked fit, going back to his D Utd days, he still looks overweight and unfit for me! Him and Commons wouldn't last a second under a top manager, especially in the modern game!

6.) 19 Feb 2016 21:06:47
Christie and rogic in place of roberts and allen.

7.) 19 Feb 2016 22:00:40
Wee1888 why not allen, let's see what the boy can do over course off 3-4 games. Like it or not, brown, johanson, gms, armstrong, forrest have all had a poor season so far, bittobs been off the boil past few games, so get these other guys in and let's see what we've got then make a judgement.

{Ed007's Note - What would you say if we went with Allan, Christie and Roberts in the team and drew tomorrow or even worse than that and we lost? Would that be a case of the players aren't up to the standards or would the it just be more ammunition for the RD out brigade?
One misplaced pass and Christie's CFC career could be over already with the way some supporters carry on these days, they don't have the patience to watch youngsters make mistakes and learn from it.}

8.) 19 Feb 2016 22:35:07
Thats the question Ed, what would you say if we went with the usual team tomorrow and drew or lost, or struggled to an undeserved win, how many bad team performances or bad individual performances does it take before something is changed to shake things up.

{Ed007's Note - I'm confident that we will beat ICT tomorrow. I'll leave whether it's a deserved win or not to the fickle people who decide such things and change their demands and opinion every week depending on what they can use to undermine the manager.
How many CFC games over the years have you seen that you would consider undeserved wins or is it just something CFC have been doing since summer 2014?}

9.) 19 Feb 2016 23:26:11
I think it's mental that anyone would have Allan over rogic.
For me Allan is well down the pecking order
I can't even understand why we signed him when we had rogic and henderson.

10.) 19 Feb 2016 23:38:58
yeah undeserved was probably the wrong word, comparing Rogic to Henderson, Henderson is a much more creative player, just can't see what all the hype concerning Rogic is about.

11.) 20 Feb 2016 09:49:14
My pony is Allen is a championship player and won't improve our starting 11, considering we have rogic it would be mental to replace him with allen.

12.) 20 Feb 2016 10:07:30
Ed007 Even if christie does misplace a few passes he will probably still have a better completion % than some in the mf!

{Ed007's Note - That's exactly the type of attitude to the players I'm talking about. Scott Brown et al are experienced pros who can handle the girning fans constant whining - why would any manager subject a young player to that? Young players make mistakes, there's a large section of our support that don't allow that though. To them every touch and past MUST be perfect or forums like this sees them crucified. Winning matches isn't enough for them.}

13.) 20 Feb 2016 13:15:16
Wee1888

Allan is a championship player? So on that logic Gravesen should have been a world beater after signing him from Real Madrid and Crosas the same after signing him from Barca as they both played for 2 of the biggest teams in one of the best leagues in the world. What about Blackett and Janko from Manchester United, another decent league?

I'm honestly not sure if Allan is any good or not but all this nonsense about the level we have signed him from isn't even an argument.

Dele Alli anyone? Stepped up 2 leagues and is showing his class. Under your logic he shouldn't be considered as he is a league 1 player. Ian Wright, Jamie Vardy who played non-league before playing for England.

14.) 20 Feb 2016 21:44:26
Well I was bored and cold for the first 45 minutes but I do like the look of Christie, Allen and Roberts and I reckon we should be giving them 3-4 games to see if they can do it. The ball is firmly in RD's court now as even he must have seen the positives when they played together.

15.) 20 Feb 2016 23:06:01
I'd take an undeserved win any day of the week. That's what champions do find a way to win when not at their best. Great character 2nd half shows the sheep we won't be bottling the title.

05 Feb 2016 22:59:57
I see young P. Roberts had a great game for the Dev squad.

If CKR turns out to be a good Un (excluding bans and how he manages the press) it would not surprise me if Pl sells Lee Griffiths.

I watched EKFC V Spartans, they have a couple of tidy players, no more than that.

Hopefully Celtic can put the tie to bed in the first half and bring on a couple of kids in the second half

Been a poor week effort, performance and result wise, we need a confidence building performance on Sunday so we can kick on

Ps. RD is not the man for me to take us forward, unless he addresses his arrogant stance on how we set up, horses for courses as most managers would say.

5-1 the hoops on Sunday, I would hope they ease off once the game is won

COYBIG :) )

I agree about his inflexibility in formation and style and it has frustrated me many times this season in particular, when it has been so obvious that we needed to change shape or personnel, he hesitates.
One-man-up at home has never been a feature of good Celtic teams and his persistence with out-of-form and weak players is also poor.
Surely between the three of them, the management team can see this?
Anyway, it's fortunate in a way, we are playing EK tomorrow and although the vultures and hyenas will be gathering it's a great opportunity to get this week out of our system and blood new talent.
Aberdeen are off to Perth today and it will be interesting to see what reaction they have to Wednesday.

2.) 06 Feb 2016 10:14:26
Jesus Christ! How far have we fell that beating an amateur team could be seen as a confidence boost?

3.) 06 Feb 2016 10:49:56
I guarantee you Ronnie will play a 4-4-2 set up tomorrow as he will think that will apese the fans. Wait and see!

4.) 06 Feb 2016 11:39:15
hes an imposter if he plays 1 up front against an amateur side!

22 Jan 2016 23:54:29
Right guys i'm off to my kip, apologies for past and future spelling gaffs :)

Mon the hoops .

PS, Neil Lennon was a great servant to Celtic and a hero in my eyes, fantastic jesture by him and his backroom staff at Bolton . I would have liked him to stay but can you imagine the animosity towards him when the hordes come to Celtic Park I really fear for the publics safety when we play them .
As Joe Walsh sung " life's been good" since their demise :)

Lovely bloke, sure has his faults like all of us, difference being that we all don't get ours plastered over the tabloids. The man was very open about suffering from depression, something we need a lot more of to reduce stigma and the awful stuff he has endured probably makes him one of the most, if not the most victimised footballer of all time. Used to slag him off as a player as I always thought he was far too negative even for his position but good god, how we missed him in the middle when he was gone. Love Neil Lennon, Celtic through and through and a total gentleman.

2.) 23 Jan 2016 10:05:33
Heard mixed attitudes by people who have met him but he was nice enough when I had the chance once. No doubt this is a great gesture though.

Daviebhoy, poor cup records aside, NL really gave the club blood, sweat and tears. Genuinely a club legend.

As a footballer, aye he was a bit negative but did the basics right 99% of the time, which is an undervalued quality imo. NL really allowed Petrov and Thompson to play and was certainly a key member to the way we played, because he let players play.

Why he took that Bolton job on though I'll never know. It will knock his career back 5-10 years.

I like your confidence, but, I don't think we're good enough yet to only play with ten men lol

Might make it interesting though :)

Christie, Armstrong, Allen and Brown (browns replacement? )

Could be the future midfield for years to come .

Unless lustig recovers form and fitness he to might get replaced (janko ) ?

My lineup from earlier was to see the league tied up, as soon as poss please :) then prepare for the qualifiers ., .

Yours is a good shout though :)

I think a 3-5-2 set up would be better, as in it would protect the defence better also allows the five to push up and make a front three or four and still leaves the sitting mid, in saying that even when we have enough to cover in defence we still get caught out by quick one two's or ball watching .

Do you think RD will get another window to finalise "HIS" selections?
