Celtic player's will now surely strive to up the standards of performance's of late. The incentive of playing Sevco should and must motivate these guys you would think. I would like to think the likes of Broony, Mulgrew, Gordon and Lustig ( yes Lustig ) will be hammering home to the newer player's what this game means to everyone associated with Celtic. I'd also love to see young Roberts let loose on them. The next 5 league games will merit starting slots for the majority of our guys. Hopefully they will rise to the challenge HH.

Kevie I would have thought that the chance of playing in the cl or the chance of winning a league title or even the privelage of being paid shed loads of money to play for a great club should be motivation enough. if they can only find motivation to play against a tribute act then they shouldn't be anywhere near the club. We have a league title to win that's what should be the motivation.

It's a cup semi-final first and foremost and after a stuttering and mostly unconvincing season, the players have got to focus on the medals, trophies and the opportunity to play European football.
The media and others will blow this up into some kind of battle of giants - but they have to understand that although it will attract more interest than most games - it is a match between The Champions of Scotland and a new team from Govan who've never won a major trophy.

New to this guys so here goes. After watching Sevco today albeit against a poor Dundee side can anyone honestly say we could comprehensively beat them the way we have been performing of late? That result today should be incentive enough for the players to get their act together as a possible semi or final against them is a possibility. We are lacking leadership from top to bottom and although I think the job is too big for RD, the players have to realise they are playing for Glasgow Celtic, and if they can't handle it, ship out. We need a Roy Aitken or Peter the Pointer type character on the park, not the greatest player's we ever had, but big hearts and would never have stood for the garage we have had to witness lately. A league and cup double is still doable and tomorrow can go along way in achieving that, ie a solid performance with a style. As I said, a potential game against Sevco should be enough incentive to get through tomorrow and a good performance should hopefully get us through the next few league games. Time for these players and management to stand up and give us the standards we expect from our great club. Hail Hail to you all.

Sorry u have a distorted opinion of Peter Grant mate he was a very average player. And if u want a player to run 50 yards to close a goalie down who is only going to boot it into the area that you should be in them Grant was a great player.
SJ does that job very well as it is.

But to be serious the Sevco performance today will give all of us an eye opener as its the first I have seen them play in a while.
For all of those who say "Name" a mangager who can do a better job than Deila just have to look at Sevco,
Their team is night and day compared to the team we walked over 2-0.
The answer is clearly most managers with any bit of savvy about them as a manager can fill his team of Accrington Stanley type of players and transform it.

Youve etook that the wrong way rayman the boys obviously pointing out we've no players with green n white coursing through there veins the type who would never go through the motions like the mob were watching just now, and just a reply to the othef posts regarding rangers if we drew them in next round i'm confident we would beat them.

4.) 05 Mar 2016 19:11:17
No rayman mate, player for player I would not take one sevconian over any of our players

Confidence might be low and RD might not be the answer but we are still a squad rippled with international players

As for the Magic bread maker am not buying into that either he couldn't take Brentford forward and the owner is the same guy who owns Midgyland (sorry Ed) it's the team that we bought big Erik from but he is stats mad for an owner

I like you bud but its hard for me to take anyone serious that thinks Sevco is a threat maybe am looking at that via too much as a business angle though (y)

I never had any intention of watching the new club today and won't watch them unless we have to play them . Somehow I think we wont be beaten by a new club toddling along.

6.) 05 Mar 2016 19:59:49
I'd take their Rb over lustig he's done in my opinion apart from that dunno anyone else.

7.) 05 Mar 2016 21:40:15
You guys are kidding yourself if you think this Celtic team would walk over them (certainly not in this current form) . As much as I hate to admit it they had the hunger we are lacking and that would be a big factor in any future game. I hope whoever calls the shots sorts themselves right out before that time ever comes as a defeat to them ( and possibly them winning the cup) would be an absolute embarrassment and near impossible to live down. It would also turn this club in to the full blown joke it is becoming.

8.) 05 Mar 2016 23:31:07
Jamie I warned you about RD and you didn't take heed mate. Now you have seen the light lol. This sevco team are a threat on current form believe me mate.
I would take Tavernier over Lustig in a heartbeat.
Wallace I always liked tho Tierney is proving to be good.
I would take anyone over Boyata.
Their midfield is not as good as ours or their attack in personell.
Difference is they play as a team we DONT.
And they have a manager that KNOWS what he is doing.
I am with you mate when it comes to the manager he is the most important person there. Spend a bit more on him and u save long term.
At this point in time if we played them tomoz I would be worried.
Compare this to only a short time ago when we played them it was men against boys.
This is how far Ronny has progressed us.

If Rogic's head has been turned by noises from down south, so be it. 7 big one's is a lot of candy for a player who has scored a few crackers this season has quick feet, and is a decent player. He is injury prone though and can't seem to last a full 90. He is no midfield maestro in my opinion and I would take the 7 million if true, and spend it on getting Gary Hooper back.
