Fran Sol. there were whispers that we were showing some interest in him a few weeks back. Is this a total non starter or is there anything in it at all? Exactly the type of player we should be trying to sign this window, 26 years old, Plays in a very good standard league, 17 goals in 20 games this season. Contract expires in the summer. Would be perfect for us.

Loan deal would make no sense when he has 6 months left on his contract with Willem II. We could get him for under £5 million and easily afford his wage.

I'd take that Sol in a heartbeat looks a right handful of a player, he will probably end up Dow south though 👎.

He looks good to be fair, probably not that expensive . A good age, come from a decent league where the standard is technically good . Him and possibly memsivec ( allow for spelling ) the centre back who was in the team of the year would be good options.

I think if anything, them signing Defoe is just a big statement of intent, regardless of whether he turns out to be a dud signing or not. This signing for Rangers, and the rest of the transfer business they are trying to push through this window should be taken as serious sign of them trying challenge for the title this season and should be forcing Lawell and the board in to taking some serious action this window.
