All this about KT going is getting beyond a joke if the club want to sell him or if KT himself wants to go let us know otherwise all the club have to say he is not for sale and or KT says l am going nowhere and yet again when we as a club should be on such a high after the success we have had another transfer window could be a disaster.

There's nothing unusual about what us going on here Paul. Every player has a price but so far Arsenal haven't met our valuation. As for Tierney, reading between the lines he's open to a move.

2.) 24 Jun 2019 17:15:11
If KT doesn't force the move he gets a percentage of the fee from Celtic in the old days it used to be 10% of the fee. If he triggers a transfer request he nullifies that (y)

Just got back from last nights game as l live in England apart from the game it was a great trip as my brother and me travelled with his 6 year old grandson he had a great day and found out what makes us great is us the celtic fans he cannot wait till his next trip and now to my thoughts on the game like everybody has said the decision to play cal Mac at left back was baffling because to me every player we have who can play left back will think they are not good enough but enough doom and gloom because to be there with my great nephew and for him to see we are more than a club.

The boy from palace wan-Bissaka (sorry about the spelling) Man Utd agree 50 million and he has only played 42 games in palace first team it is madness if we accept a pittance for KT and l mean accepting 20 or 25 million when you see what united paid our board should use this transfer fee as an example.

Just imagine Paul if he had TWO bigsakkas how much he would be worth then 😂😜👍🍀.

2.) 26 Jun 2019 16:54:00
Wan Bissaka has proven himself at that level. Granted one season, but one of the best RBs in the EPL last term. The fact it's between 'rival' clubs adds another several million. The fact he's English adds several more million. Tierney will have some adjusting to do. Up against better players, probably having more defensive duties being in a less dominant side. But we know when we have a player. Said at the time we got mugged for VVD, I knew he was headed for the top. So I hope the club hold out for a lot more than 15m and the board haven't already picked up the scent of money.

😂 Classic Jamiebhoy right there.

Good to see you JT 👍.

With all the news about KT and nothing being said by him and the club we as supporters need to know what is happening the club were quick enough to make a statement about David Turnbull the other week and KT could put an end to it by saying he is going nowhere and all this talk about 25 million is a joke we have to price our players right look at the boy from palace who Man Utd want they are talking 40 to 50 million and these idiots say it's because of Scottish football so Moussa goes last year and his value is now 2 or 3 times what we got Virgil went and 2 years later is worth about 6 times what we got players improve but not that much and l have said on here before when we give players contracts put a buy out clause and say that is the price as they do abroad.

Paul91

1.) 23 Jun 2019 10:50:38
The club won't say that because every player has his price. As much as I love him and would love to see him stay for 10, I think he needs to make the next step soon or else his progress will plateau. He's fallen way behind Robertson on the international scene and the only way to rectify that is to improve by playing better opposition week in and week out.

2.) 23 Jun 2019 10:55:24
Neither the club nor KT have to say anything to anyone until they have something to say. If he goes then he goes, there's nothing anyone can do about it but I'm sure the usual suspects here will be calling him a Judas if he does go. Some folk need to grow up and get into the real world about how life and football works. HH.

3.) 23 Jun 2019 11:08:38
The SPL standard 'handicap' has robbed us of millions of pounds over the years and there's no way the players value could have multiplied so rapidly in such a short space of time, no matter where he plays.
It really is long overdue for Celtic to place realistic release clauses on our star player contracts on a par with these inflated valuations - so as to not be taken for mugs every single year.
The English league is a prime example of highly exaggerated and ridiculous fees for players no better than ours and it's high time we protected our own interest and protected our investments.

4.) 23 Jun 2019 11:28:06
I agree OAB in Spain they have massive release clauses to protect themselves from the inevitable, i dint see any reasin why Celtic don't do the same.

5.) 23 Jun 2019 11:57:04
Paul, the club spoke out AFTER Motherwell went public.
We, for the most part, do our business in a professional manner which is private and confidential.

6.) 23 Jun 2019 12:04:02
Just want to point something out that every1 seems to miss. we got vvd for around 2 mill. sold him 2 years later for 12 m. 2 years later he went for 70m . People are saying how can his price go up 6x what we got in 2 years . well it went up 6x in the 2 years we had him . dembele 500000. 20mill. now going 40-50. this is how it works and we are forever going to be the middle men
Hail hail.

7.) 23 Jun 2019 12:16:51
Exactly cha. When the shoe is on the other foot we want to make a profit on players too.

12 Jun 2019 17:53:19
With all the usual crap about players leaving and the pittance that these clubs want to offer, l just don't understand why we don't put buy out clauses on our players like other clubs do and they do put crazy prices on players and then we can say that's the price end of, because for years we have sold players to cheaply.

Just got back to England after the weekend and must admit even in the tollbooth at Glasgow cross on Sunday the difference in opinion on Lennie getting the job was something else and even those who wanted him to get the job could not believe the timing and for Lawwell to say that nobody else was in contention for the job is staggering l as all our supporters will get behind Lennie but yet again it is Lawwell who has to deliver in the transfer market and back the manager but l worry that nothing has changed since Lennie was in charge before and from a position of strength that the board will sit twiddling their fingers when we should be showing our financial power to the rest of Scotland.

I don't remember anybody complaining about due diligence or lack of an interview process when the club appointed BR.

2.) 29 May 2019 17:40:20
Thats because we showed serious ambition to get Rodgers, where's the ambition in this appointment? I said to my mates that last year I'd have been amazed if we didn't get 10 in a row, now I'll be amazed if we get it. The difference is lennon.

3.) 29 May 2019 17:53:36
The board have always backed our managers, it's just 7 out of 10 times our managers sign tom kite😂.

4.) 29 May 2019 18:05:00
Some fans bought into the bookies fantasy managers. There was no way we would have Benetiz. Jose. AVB etcRealistically I thought it was between Moyes Lennon or Clarke. Clarke had ruled himself out because of the baggage that comes with the job. Lennon is Mr Marmite at present but will have my backing 100%. Lawell better back Lennon like he backed Disco Lights and a fancy pitch.

5.) 29 May 2019 18:25:30
We need to get the new D O F right or the new head scout spot on as i think this is more important this year than any other year i can remember. We could need up to 8 players probably more like 5.
Don't get me wrong i am not overwhelmed with lennon but got to get on with it now and hope we can unearth some gems like van dyk, wanyama.
Lets hope we can hit ground running and win in style next year .
As i have said before, we can't re sign players like hooper, or extend contracts to lustig or this will be going backwards. c'mon celts 🍀.

6.) 29 May 2019 18:30:53
Time to move on folks this has been done to death he's here let's get on with it.

7.) 29 May 2019 20:04:51
I get that Steph but I keep hearing about how negligent it is for a club of our size to not interview multiple candidates etc. but in reality they couldn't care less about that - they just didn't want Lennon.

8.) 30 May 2019 07:37:41
Im not in the anyone but lennon camp cos that's just stupid, but I wanted us to get the best manager possible and u can't do that if u don't even look at anyone else. If it turned out lennon was the best candidate then fair enough but they didn't know he was cos they never checked.
