Defences to be picked and unlocked. With Charly and Patrick Roberts in the same side the football will flow.

I should probably refer to him as Charly bhoy. It will be the shout from the stands and at the telly inevitably :) . At least we have signed another cb 😉. I'll get my coat.
I'm excited. If he can run through players for us like he does in the clips then we are in for a treat. From what I've seen he won't score 15+ goals but he will open up most defences and give our strikers less work to get the shooting boots on. As a team imo we have missed a trick not having a pacy AM for too long and have needed wingers, rb/ lbs to build our attacking play. For me he won't suit every game but as an option when needed he will do well. We don't have that type of player. For the record i think he would be wasted on the wing from videos i've watched unless he has support. Final classy whipped in ball? Mabey not. His running and skill through the middle should give our cfs space and ample chances to cause problems in the box instead of dropping deep or running wide 🤞.
Good signing.

Brendan linked to Arsenal

Hi Ed, I for one have no objections to DD statement on our manager being linked to the soon to be vacancy at the north London club.
Dermot states he will never place handcuffs on anyone or contemplate stopping BR speaking to anyone

I also have no fear that Celtic will lose our prized leader

I believe Brendan is a man of great personal honour and integrity. He was recruited and brought to Celtic by DD himself and for me this gives a moral obligation to stay for at least 4 / 5 years.

10 in a row will seal his place in history, time then for personal reflection to see if his personal ambitions would entice him to new pastures

The future is bright
The future's green and white

Hail Hail.

{Ed007's Note - I think it'll be after 10 in a row too that Rodgers will look at his options but I wouldn't write him off staying beyond that. At 45 he's still relatively young for a top level manager.}

Over the years the home dressing room at Hampden has always been taken by the various incarnations of 'Rangers"
For the cup semi final Celtic should invoke the spirit of Stein beating Herrera to the preferred dug out in Lisbon. As first out the hat in the draw we have the right to lay our towel on this particular sun bed. just in time for the ensuing beach party.

Winning goal from our on loan striker is further evidence that we may lay out the 7m fee for his permanent transfer. For me there is a step up in class. Ntcham at 4m also shows we are moving into a higher market with higher stakes but potentially higher rewards.
Such signings, with our manager and coaching staff there to develop them are the way forward.
So what now? . Not a punt at 7m but a thought out plan. The good work began by putting the option with us.
Well done Celtic, the futures bright, the future's green and white.

A really good shout that.

2.) 11 Mar 2018 22:17:02
He would be a good signing for me. Somebody suggested on here we just enquire about another loan season. I know PSG need to sell players but it could still be a possibility as I doubt 7m would be a tip of the iceberg. There's no harm in asking and it would give us another year to be extra sure about the idea of a permanent deal.

3.) 11 Mar 2018 22:30:22
The guy has had very limited opportunities and has made a great impact when involved; whereas Roberts seems to be well out of favour, under BR and it is well worth an enquiry as he has earned it.

4.) 12 Mar 2018 12:01:47
super result and a good game of footy as they say.
Would like to think BR has Eduardo in his plans and maybe shrewd enough to get him for less that 7, but definitely take him.

Don't know how the young boy does it, but finds space, and with less back lift finds that shot and target with power, and can only get better. He young, sharp, and fast. (like me ) .
We have players to win this league (easy) , next step is the CL/ EL. Summer transfer will be interesting and i hope BR gets his wish list. We have the makings of a CL/ EL team.

Last night's performance a big boost for us all.
Average age must be coming down also.
To me it looks like our transfer policy is moving up a level with higher risk outlays for the next generation of potential mega-millions players

You can see why Edouard needs game time for BR to make a £7 million decision at the summer.

With Edouard featuring so prominently, sometimes to the neglect of more obvious starters, I wonder if there isn't something more to the initial agreement than we're heard about--a stipulation about playing time, or a lower end-of-season transfer fee.

Saying that, he does look like a more substantial prospect after last night's run out.

2.) 31 Jan 2018 15:59:38
Cavalcanti that’s the problem with half the guys on here, one game he looks like a 7m prospect the next he’s not worth it at all. Fickle game by game opinions rather than evaluating an opinion based on a period of time and it’s ridiculous to suggest that PSG would give us a lower fee for playing Edouard more!? What benefit would the gain from such a clause?

3.) 31 Jan 2018 16:25:39
The price will be the price. If he continues in the same vein as last night, he will be well worth that kind of money when you consider how much players with less potential are going for down south.

It's up to the boy to show that kind of performance regularly and if he does then he will be well worth that fee.

4.) 31 Jan 2018 16:31:36
I think Rodgers has played Edouard for a few reasons. First, both Griffiths and Dembele have been injured this season and have been back on the treatment table not long after returning. So Rodgers probably giving him game time to try and manage the other striker's injuries. Secondly, Dembele has been well below par most games this season, so Rodgers probably giving Edouard a run out to see if he could do better. Thirdly, he may just be doing better in training than the other two.

Good to see the Celtic Park hotel complex moving forward. We have the opportunity to put the forces of darkness even further behind in our rear view mirror. The stadium expansion could put them out of sight.
However for today I would like to put forward Willie Maley and Jimmy McGory as the next two statues for the Celtic Way, Avenue of Heroes.
Appreciate your thoughts and insight.

I would like to see the next 2 or 3 statues fan funded with a vote on who we would like. To have these Legends placed all around the front entrance and the Celtic Way would be pretty amazing. Its Fergus McCann and Paul McStay up next for me.

2.) 11 Oct 2017 17:07:34
Would it not be the long term plan that Celtic Way have the Lisbon Lyons statues all the way up the Way and then other players at the top, Burns / Mcstay, and a few others to boot.

3.) 11 Oct 2017 17:16:25
Think we need to go easy on the statues bhoys we could end up with more statues than fans . too many legends deserving of that honour but in the modern era Henrik must be in there but for me a player who was truly world class in a time when the word class meant just that . Daniel Fergus McGrain.

4.) 11 Oct 2017 19:01:59
Surround OUR stadium with statues of our legends ALL of them:
So that when the opposition comes to visit they will see our Heroes:

5.) 11 Oct 2017 21:55:03
Mcgrain, Aitken, burns and henrick.

6.) 12 Oct 2017 08:36:49
Got to be Tommy burns.

7.) 12 Oct 2017 11:02:32
Tommy burns for me.

Armstrong is the only real ball carrier we have who can drive at defences from deep. Brendan rightly called Tom Rogic the Magic Man. To move on both at the same time would be a big risk we do not need to take. Big goals at crucial moments are Tom's stock in trade.
