Apparently a €7.5m euro option to buy on the boy Jota. I'm happy we have one in the loan deal.

SOS-BHOY

1.) 29 Aug 2021 18:06:13
Quite a big fee for a guy that doesn't score or assist. Was poor out on loan last year.

2.) 29 Aug 2021 18:26:09
If he's on the way let's see what he does going forward. Take it lovric was just him hoping then?

3.) 29 Aug 2021 18:47:44
Ange knows a player. This boy was touted to Madrid a couple of years ago. All i have seen us 5 minutes on youtube. But a year of developing under Ange's tutelage and that fee might not be as high as it seems just now. Only time will tell.

4.) 29 Aug 2021 19:46:58
Lovric is more experienced, in red hot form and by all accounts would cost a smaller fee than Jota. There's no proof we were ever definitely in for him but he seems a better option to me.

5.) 29 Aug 2021 21:07:47
Don't know anything about the bhoy but Ange has identified some very good players and this lad could turn out to be a Portuguese Paddy Roberts (1st season) .

We need quality players in to bolster the first team squad, our bench just highlights that.

6.) 29 Aug 2021 23:15:22
For me another lightweight and not convinced by Jota, would much prefer Lovric. Far more direct and probably a bit more about him in terms of strength and power.

7.) 30 Aug 2021 07:15:18
Just watched some clips of Jota and he is rapid he can certainly get the ball up the pitch fast enough imagine him on one side Abada the other and Kyogo through the middle that is a lightning fast front three.

8.) 30 Aug 2021 19:14:42
Looking forward to seeing they 3 playing together Marco.

14 Jun 2021 16:05:20
I read a few articles from down south that seem to think Wykes is coming to Celtic. He Scored 31 goals last season playing in league 1. I donk know how good he is but we could definitely do with a target man to add another dimension to our attack. He's 28 so may be a late bloomer.

SOS-BHOY

1.) 14 Jun 2021 16:46:55
sunderland supporters certainly ain't going to missing him going by what they are saying, seemingly a very poor player.

2.) 14 Jun 2021 16:57:22
SOS, there's a really good lad who does a youtube channel. He's called themadmistake. Fanatical Mackems fan and I watch him most weeks. Just a lad doing it from his bedroom but his passion is fantastic. He has said on many occasions this season that Wyke mostly scores when the ball is crossed. He gets decent service but he adds very little to the team otherwise. HH.

3.) 14 Jun 2021 17:27:08
Besty we have been missing that in the last 15 minutes of games. Whether it's Wykes or another target man, we really need a plan B. For the last 15/ 20 of games that aren't going to plan.

4.) 14 Jun 2021 17:53:07
I watched a video of all his goals last season and would agree that he got good crosses for a lot of the goals but he still had to put them away and on a free not too much of a gamble but I don't think he fits Ange's playing style.

5.) 14 Jun 2021 18:13:52
I hope this isn’t the quality McKay was referring to last week .
Sell eddy, replacing him with a free from Sunderland would be a massive kick in the teeth. Hopefully just a squad player.

6.) 14 Jun 2021 19:02:04
Quin I would be hoping we will have 3/ 4 strikers at the close of the window. I would like a target man to be a part of that group with Eduard also replaced by a quality signing.

7.) 14 Jun 2021 19:28:01
If this guy is to replace Eddy then buckle up.

8.) 14 Jun 2021 19:34:20
Selling Eddie for millions and this boy on a free. Suppose that's the downsizing starting if 1000s aren't renewing. Ach well least i will be there COYBIG.

9.) 14 Jun 2021 21:33:51
I am not bothered if it's a free as long as he can play but looking at some of the comments on the Sunderland pages he won't be missed there that is a worry IF IT'S TRUE that we are going for him.

10.) 14 Jun 2021 22:44:21
Just get Gary hooper back . he'll be free as well.

11.) 14 Jun 2021 22:55:57
And as if by magic Gaz bevam8a free agent on Saturday. Get the deal done pedro.

06 Aug 2020 10:34:44
We have been linked this morning with Man city's Germany U21 international forward Lukas Nmecha. He has recently been on loan at middlesbrough.

SOS-BHOY

1.) 06 Aug 2020 15:33:39
Never heard of him but I love a German player. Can you still say that these days🤔.

02 Aug 2020 10:44:48
A report in Croatia is stating we have bid 3m for Hadjuk split LB David Colina. He is 20 years old and has played at every youth level for Croatia. Report also states Hadjuk are looking for double the fee offered.

Hi ed, do you know if there is any substance in the reports that we are back negotiating for Toney of Peterborough? And if so would it inclinate selling Eduard if we are?
Thanks.

SOS-BHOY

{Ed007's Note - We aren't negotiating for Toney as far as I know.}

1.) 26 Jul 2020 14:42:12
If Morelos is away from them they’ll probably bid for Toney. that way the rags can say they beat us to him, even though we wernt interested in him in the first place! It’s an absolute certainty honestly!

2.) 26 Jul 2020 14:47:14
The Peterborough chairman came out publicly and said we had asked to be kept informed of Toney's situation so there must have been some level of interest.

3.) 26 Jul 2020 15:00:03
I was told we where still interested and that we where his preferred destination.

4.) 26 Jul 2020 17:02:41
Danny if rumours are true than they ain't getting enough to cover the tranfer fee of toney.

5.) 26 Jul 2020 17:29:16
U could be rite kev. just found a bit of a coincidence that one of the rags linked us again with Toney today on the day el coo does walking away! And kev Bhoy the Peterborough chairmen is Barry fry, who would sell his granny to the highest bidder! Don’t believe that we were interested at all when we have 4 strikers at the club already!

6.) 26 Jul 2020 22:28:05
lennon said today we are looking for a striker Danny.

7.) 26 Jul 2020 18:53:22
Has the coo left sevco yet. What fee did they get?

8.) 27 Jul 2020 00:04:26
Did he mate. a honestly never heard that kev. must mean either bayo or klimala are offski! Klimala has to be given more time but bayo unfortunately ain’t going to cut it for me.

With Scott Robertson away to crewe I'd hope a CM will be coming in. He is the best of our youngsters in that department. Apparently Eddy to Palace is a goer. Ed do you think we will replace him on top of the Greek boy coming in? And do you think a CM will be brought in?

SOS-BHOY

{Ed007's Note - I wouldn't be surprised to see another striker coming in and there's still a chance Ajeti could mover on. Our last 2 games have shown that we are short of muscle in the CM position and even though McCarthy is still to come in we could still do with another type of that player. Personally I would have preferred we went for Lewis Ferguson but I wasn't surprised to see stories linking us with McCann - I'm trying to find out what the score is with that move.}

1.) 30 Aug 2021 20:55:04
I with you on feguson. He's a cracking young player. I'd love another Wanyama. I absolutely loved him! Seems late for us to pull out an Eduard quality replacement. Maybe we are keeping very quiet.

{Ed007's Note - I think Giakoumakis is going to be Eddy's replacement.}

2.) 30 Aug 2021 21:29:16
Mcann for me is better just my opinion.

{Ed007's Note - I got a pure cheeky email from a troll/moron/clown yesterday saying how I am killing the site by not letting people have different opinions than me - that's got to be a yellow card for you, Mally 🟨 be warned..... be afraid....

3.) 30 Aug 2021 22:28:27
OK bro 🤣🤣 but a don't give a sh@t.

{Ed007's Note - 😁

28 Aug 2021 17:01:50
So the Eduard interest is heating up as expected. Will we replace him on top of the Greek boy coming in? I think it would be an injustice on Ange if not. Ed have you heard anything?

SOS-BHOY

1.) 28 Aug 2021 17:31:50
I would say we need to, gruff looks like going and will only leave us ajeti, I think ajeti could do a job v your so called lesser teams in Scotland but for me one would still be needed.

2.) 28 Aug 2021 18:01:45
Would be good to get Ajeti off the books as well but there's only so much buisness we can do.

3.) 28 Aug 2021 18:25:45
If Ajeti is the trouble-maker he has been reported to be, I would like to see him out the door as well.

4.) 28 Aug 2021 18:51:34
What reports is that OAB? I haven't heard anything about him causing any trouble.

5.) 28 Aug 2021 18:56:19
Liamlennon
By the lesser teams in Scotland I assume you mean the likes of Auchenleck Talbot and Hurlford.

6.) 28 Aug 2021 20:59:47
Bhoys, Ange plays one up front - Kyogo. If we sell Eddy and bring in the Greek bhoy, Giorgious (ii) , as reported, we're unlikely to sign a 3rd striker 😉.

A left sided, first choice CB, would be handy and a LB/ LWB.

{Ed007's Note - Liam Scales?}

23 Aug 2021 12:33:02
I have read a few posts on herethinking we are just going to cruise the oldco game this week. it may be an unpopular opinion but I think a few of you are getting carried away. I think they are going to play the same counter attacking football they played in Europe. They are a very well organised side and this could be a big test for the high defensive line we have been playing. I am hopeful of a victory but it is still early days. Oldco away is a lot more difficult a game that St mirren or Dundee at home.

SOS-BHOY

1.) 23 Aug 2021 12:56:59
I’m inclined to agree with you SOS.

Psychologically the next Old Firm game is massive for us - a positive result at Ibrox is a marker that we up for a title challenge. Confidence stays high.

A negative result sees them push away from us early in the title race but more than that tells them they don’t have to be firing 100% to beat us. The media start to criticise us for not beating the bigger teams and the feel good factor slowly erodes. Ange will need to draw on all his experience to ensure heads don’t go down.

2.) 23 Aug 2021 13:06:53
Being caught on the break concerns me, as does getting dragged into a dog fight in midfield. However, if we get Rogic and Turnbull threading some balls through to Kyogo down the middle I can see him tearing their centre backs a new one. It'll be intersting to see if we adapt our approach slightly or not.

3.) 23 Aug 2021 13:27:23
I think they are down at the minute and if gerard needs to motivate them to play against us then we will run riot. AZ are the best team we have played and the only concerns are exactly what you Bhoys are saying. I would have liked to see new rb and lb well bedded in before we faced them but If the manager gets his tactics right then I’m hopeful that we can win both this weeks games.

4.) 23 Aug 2021 13:36:12
Said earlier a draw would be decent, it's a huge test, ange doesn't get carried away when we win so we as supporters can't get too negative if we get beat which could happen. sevco have a few goalscorers that chip in.

5.) 23 Aug 2021 13:46:08
100% Mal.

6.) 23 Aug 2021 14:05:46
Confidence goes a long way towards performance, we had none last year and we know how that played out. Let’s just enjoy our progress.

7.) 23 Aug 2021 14:23:41
With what I have seen so far of them our wing play and a high press will have them on the back foot. Their full backs like to roam forwards which will leave them exposed for our pacey players to take full advantage. Im quietly confident.

8.) 23 Aug 2021 14:42:08
I'm hoping for a win. But they are going to play very compact and disciplined. Its going to be hard to break them down. When it comes to these games form can go out the window. Even a loss isn't the end of the world. The league is a marathon not a sprint and we are only going to get better the more time Ange has with the team. I don't expect a loss but do fear vulnerabilities may show as they are very good at counter Ttacking football.

9.) 23 Aug 2021 14:51:38
I think we'll pump them all over the park. Might be a closer scoreline but we'll win.

10.) 23 Aug 2021 15:32:05
The venue, toxic environment and pressure is new to a few of our players and the manager. All we can do is play to our strengths and protect the back four when necessary.

11.) 23 Aug 2021 15:34:47
I would take 2 draws this week tbh. AZ were unlucky not to score last week and game was closer than scoreline suggests. If they have their shooting boots on it could be tricky enough to get thru. The tribute act aren't at full speed yet and will hopefully be drained from their travels this week but with 50k of their lot in Ibrox it could be a hard game for us.

12.) 23 Aug 2021 15:39:57
I just wish we had some cover in central defence. I am still to be convinced by Starfelt and if an experieced left sided defender was there it would give us options. An extra body if we get a dodgey desision or injury. I would hate to rely on Bitton.

13.) 23 Aug 2021 15:46:24
Jonace, liam Scales will be signing shortly. There are options for him to play in. Left side CB, LB and LWB. As I said before Liam might not be a ready made fit for us just yet. But I've watched him a lot for Shamrock Rovers and for UCD. It will take him time to settle and when he will settle and gets used to the fast tempo Ange plays, he should make the grade. Ange's style of football will suit Liam.

14.) 23 Aug 2021 16:03:30
I think it'll be a high scoring derby but I fully expect us to win. Hopefully a wee Hattrick for Kyogo too after this weekends events!

15.) 23 Aug 2021 17:31:04
I’ll take anything as long as it’s not a draw or a loss 😂.

22 Aug 2021 11:45:56
Ed do you have any idea what the plan is for Scott Robertson? The boy is extremely talented but is going to struggle for game time with the way our midfield is playing. Do you see him going out on loan or staying for cover? I would love to see him playing in the SPL week in week out developing and getting valuable playing time.

SOS-BHOY

{Ed007's Note - I don't know of Celtic's plans for Robertson but unless we can move on some players I think it would be best for him to go out on loan for the season. We'll play enough games this season for the squad to get plenty of game time but we have an abundance of quality midfielders as it is.}

1.) 22 Aug 2021 15:14:48
A season of playing 30/ 40 games could get him ready to come in and challenge next year. The boy could save us a fortune when it next comes to selling one of our CM'S.

16 Aug 2021 09:35:51
I have been thinking about our CB situation at the club. We have Welsh, Starfelt, julien and Dane Murray. Bitton fills in there but not the answer. Clearly by looking at it we need another CB. My thinking is that if we sign a starting calibre CB where does that leave Welsh? Yes he can be a bit rash but he is young and will only get better with experience. I think he has been excellent for us. What message does it send to our youth academy players if a player that hasn't let us down can't get a game? We have already lost several talented youngsters through showing them no pathway to the first team. Maybe Ange will sort this issue out in time as he has his handsfull at the moment. I just feel Welsh will develop much better playing week in week out and has earned his shot with his commitment and play.

SOS-BHOY

1.) 16 Aug 2021 09:58:17
On current form Welsh is oor best CB. Starfelt still needs to prove himself I feel but it is early days. Bitton at CB? God no, surely be now it’s evident he just won’t do in there. As for jullien I feel he’s a bit powderpuff plus he’s been out a long time now, even when he comes back it’ll take long enough for him to get up to match speed. Signing another CB for me won’t hinder Welsh’s development, on the contrary, a solid experienced CB would help improve his game.

2.) 16 Aug 2021 11:06:46
Every successful Club has competition for places and it will give ange a chance to rotate its a long season Welsh will play his part, if ralston or any of our 2 cbs got injured where are we, we're in deep sh$t, get the players signed and let's to see who's best.

I completely agree Tony. With Calmac in the holding role the rest of the midfield is unbalanced. Soro has been very poor. I thought he was fantastic before Kennedy completely dropped him for Brown. Mally I'd say Ange gets the complete season. I said to my friends before the season started that it was going to take time and I hoped we would stay within a reasonable amount of points in the first 2/ 3 months of the season.

Sure none of us want to be loosing games. But to change our footballing identity with such a large overhaul of the squad, clearly there were going to be a lot of ups and downs. With the state we were in, winning the title was never a foregone conclusion. Ange needs time to fully implement his philosophy. He has been hindered by a multitude of things outwith his control. A project of this magnitude was never going to be easy, with one hand tied behind his back.

I completely disagree also. Why would Ralston, a player who didn't even look good enough to warm our bench before ange came in say this? He has been one of our most consistent and best performers since the manager has worked with him. The flapping on this site is unreal. I didn't think we were going to have European football at all with the state the club was in. Ange delivered. Any one with half a wit could see it was going to take some time to bed in the squad. The board dragged their heels when it came to signings. Rather than bring the Greek boy in and give him time to settle and get up to speed. In typical celtic fashion we wait until Eduard was sold. The same happened with Jota, waiting til Christie left. Sure none of.

What's the cost on the option to buy at the end of the loan?

SOS-BHOY

{Ed007's Note - Don't take this as gospel but the most reliable person I've got an answer off is the price is £3.5 million + a sell on but the the £1 million loan fee will be deducted if we finalise the deal.}
