The amount of basic errors in our game at the moment is embarrassing. Passing and understanding between players is woeful.

Results aside I think it's mostly been that way since the resumption after winter break. We are mostly dining out on the OF game.

I just hope we do go on to seal the league as its only 3 points gap so the chucking of European football for me is a risk.

When I think about ihow much good that really does us I don't know. I say that because we are financially sound as it is. It's not like having the CL money is going to elevate us to different players because wages will dictate that it's more of the same. We also can't cope with the standard of quality in the conference league so can you imagine the level of new one we'd be ripped in next seasons CL.

Baffled we signed all these players to have a squad where we need to rest our best players because we have Hibs at the weekend.

Can you imagine JS, BMcN or MON doing that sort of thing in European football after Christmas? Celtic have lost their pride and their identity in Europe. Once feared we are now a team anyone would want to play.

And for those saying progress in European football doesn't matter bet you can't wait till our Euro Qualies are against the top teams in Europe and qualification becomes less and less likely because of a non existent co-efficient.

Typical Celtic. No one does us in quite like we do to ourselves. The absolute masters of self destruction.

We've had to rebuild almost an entire team, while repairing the damage and humiliation inflicted by their predecessors.
Of course Celtic supporters want us to regain some sort of European credibility, but this has been in tatters for a while; with some really embarrassing hammerings (home and away) since BR and before. This is just the latest episode in our Euro demise. Having a decent domestic season should lay the foundations to improve and try to establish some confidence and continuity.
Several of the first team only arrived in January, while others who signed in the summer like GG and McCarthy were nowhere near ready and our season was peppered with injuries. However, we have coped better than expected with a trophy already in the cabinet.
I agree we are currently the whipping Bhoys of Europe, but I had zero expectation this season and going back to the summer, we never even had a manager in place for decent preparation and he has earned a lot of credit and praise for the job he is doing.
Yes, we still have problems to solve and positions that need improvement and we are going through a difficult, inconsistent time of it, but we need to stick behind the manager and team and give them all the support and encouragement they need. Then we can take stock, have post mortems and inquiries when the season ends.

Ange has been here 6 months and signed 19 players as a direct result of the shambles he inherited from the miserable failure to secure 10IAR.

The building process hasn't finished and if we can secure this seasons league title I'd hope the manager continues to be backed and adds more quality to this team.

where is the quality ped its all very well having a big squad but if they're not of good quality, i hope maeda goes when his loan is up or are we obliged to sign him as he can run but has no technical ability, scales is not what's required and not a patch on taylor who is a poor first choice, oriley has time on his side but recent games showed him to be a first division player, welch is young but still just a decent stand in, forrest a shadow of the player he was, rogic gave a little bit but has since been hooked in the last couple of games we are top of a rubbish league and look good but even the step up to the bottom tier of euro comps shows us up. that team tonight could have scored more and all they are is well drilled not super stars just well drilled.

Our squad rebuild was simply for a domestic challenge not European success.

I'm glad we are out of the "new" European Cup, the competition shouldn't exist.

If we win the league we will keep rebuilding that's a dead cert.

Starfelt has to be the first replaced I can't understand how so many of us defend his Sunday league abilities because we've kept a good defensive record in the SPL, he gets found out anytime we play anyone with substance, therefore simply not good enough, runs about like he's holding in a rubbish.

Serious question. Is/ was our squad and best 11 capable of winning that tie. Yes or no?

You’d have to ask in the first leg why we were so poor. The players AND the manager have to take responsibility for that. The second leg can only be summed up despite his vow to go for it that he thought the tie was dead and he saved the best for Hibs.

Like I have said in other areas he and we will look ridiculous if after that protection we don’t win the league.

How ridiculous does Giakoumakis’s comments look now. Shut yer trap son and do your talking on the park.

Celtic will improve in Europe (even with this squad) when they stop putting style over substance!
