When we drew against Kairat Almaty we had a back 4 of AJ, CCV, Scales and KT. Midfield was CM, Reo and Nygren.
Can someone tell me after a year on, an older CM, a lackluster Reo, AJ out, CCV still trying to get back to full fitness and KT still not back to full fitness, why we really thought we’d go through in Europe against an even stronger team? Was it Hogh, Duran, or Bauer or hat made you think that. Or was it just pinning more hopes to MON?
We’ve brought 4 players in and before talking about starting 11 we haven’t even replaced the 5 loan signings we let go!
All that said, I’m somewhat happy we’re back n Europa. I hate watching us get humped 3/ 4-0 against teams that are so much better. It’s a building process to play at that level and the problem as we all know, is we’ve never built for that.

They had very real threat in first leg. Any coach / manager with a clue about football should have seen they were very decent going forward.

No one was saying what? Our defence was struggling, we had no LB or RB cover. We had no legs in midfield all these and much more where highlighted. Happy clapping doesn't make you a better Celtic fan.

@cory I have been saying it for weeks and pointed it out before the first tie, that Celtic board were taking a massive gamble by going into this match with glaring deficiencies in the squad. It is the same every year, so in that respect I am not surprised and I also pointed out that anyone expecting this board to change should be preparing to be disappointed.
I take no pleasure in saying I was right as the consequences of my prediction coming true is more misery for us all. The board needs to go now or we will be watching a rerun of this car crash next year and the year after, ad infinitum.

Hindsight? They have gambled the same way every year we have had qualifiers and it has constantly backfired bar a few times we have scraped through. Where is the foresight to see that this approach obviously does not work? They preach we need to be careful as we need to keep money for a 'rainy day' but they are causing this 'rainy day' scenario by failing to prepare sufficiently every season.
