Apparently we are now in advanced talks with Blackburn Rovers over the Hungarian goalkeeper Toth, with a fee of around £4m being discussed. One report specifically says we are pushing to get the deal completed and that an agreement is possible this week.

Strange why Celtic can’t get the deal done a few days earlier and then he can be cover for the LASK.
Celtic are taking an unnecessary gamble having Doohan on the bench after his performance against Sporting in pre season.
He was released by Aberdeen but yet could find himself playing in the CL playoffs.

I read earlier that Toth has verbally stated his preference is to join Celtic.
The fee, from what I've seen, would be £4M max (made up of the initial fee + add ons) and that seems to be what the bun fight is over given he's going into the last 12 months of his contract.
I've no idea how good a GK he may be but at 28yrs old and an international, I'm hopeful and we desperately need a GK to challenge Sinisalo for the starting spot.

I can understand clubs being reluctant to sell players this week if they have crucial European Qualifying playoff games to play but that isn’t the case with a Blackburn player.
It’s just the usual common denominator taking too long with negotiations.
