Nothing against the young LB from Chelsea coming in, but seriously what is going on in the academy that we can't promote from within.
It really is a complete waste of time and money.

Any time a decent academy player gets brought through Liverpool Man City or someone similar just come and basically cherry pick them out. Celtic get a raw deal I think when that happens.

The problem we have is that we don’t offer our academy players structure and progression towards the first team. There is no pathway.
If you are one of those great players at Celtic B:
Celtic say aye you’ll keep playing for the academy and if everything goes well you might get a shot at the first team.
Liverpool/ City etc offer proper structure in their approach. They create a pathway for you to become a professional footballer. That includes dealing with money, relationships etc not just what they can do on the pitch.
No wonder our young guys jump ship at the first opportunity.
