{Ed007's Note - I'm not holding out much hope fo either of them staying but it has went awfy quiet about possible moves, both Everton and Fulham seem to have cooled their interest in AJ and even though it looks like Engels has set his heart on a move to West Ham that's kind of stalled too.}

I'd rather lose AE than AJ, as I'm not convinced Engels is worth what has been offered for him. AJ on the other hand is very much the finished article and probably worth more than he'd bring in.

Have the board said to the buyers that they can’t sanction the sale until the last 10 minutes of the window to ensure there can’t be any chance that they would be expected to spend. ??.

On his day Arne Engels is an outstanding footballer. If we could somehow bring out the consistency in him he’d be a £35m player.
I think a lot of fans are very short sighted when they think he doesn’t have something about him when premier league teams are throwing in £25m bids.
He’s clearly very talented and has that technical ability. It’s just building his consistency. Maybe clubs with better facilities and coaches could bring that out of him.
Celtic isn’t his ceiling in my eyes. But he could stay and become a legend we’ve seen this far too many times.
