To keep our fans delighted we need Tommy Burns style of play but with a higher calibre of player than Tommy had available to him. That would be wonderful.

The problem I have is what higher calibre of players actually wants to play for Celtic nowadays? Look at the state of the club top down it’s a mess.

No high calibre players will ever come to Scotland.

Even if they wanted to come, high quality nowadays is way out of our budget.
Nottingham Forrest are asking 100m for one of their young players, who yes is a quality player and still very young, but 100m.
Average players are now costing 20-30m in the top 5 leagues.
We need to look elsewhere. Japan has showed us there are still opportunities available and looking at the WC there are countries out there with good players who wouldn't cost the earth but you need a scouting/ recruitment system in place, which we do not have.
You need a club willing to put the work in, totally restructure our recruitment process and spend the money.

Tommy burns style?. won one trophy. Sevconian outscored us and conceded less in his seasons in charge. his style was. hardly a blueprint for success.

He was a cb away from a great team, unfortunately wee Fergus never pushed the boat out and we would have won the league that season if Fergus had backed him properly.
