It's with great regret that I have to send this to the ticket office. I made the decision recently that I cannot continue buying my Season Ticket and sometimes enough is enough. I can no longer invest in a Club that treats its support like cash machines, there to sook in all the money, but at the same time, peddle mediocre crap and invest the minimum for the hope of success.

I genuinely hope someone gets the seat and enjoys it but I can't anymore.
I have never fallen out of love with Celtic, never will and will always support them, but this current board are killing us slowly.

Seems really strange writing this after a double trophy Season but that was the weirdest, strangest Season I've ever experienced. I know it's not an Airport so don't have to announce my departure but really wanted to put it out there why I'm not renewing and thought this would be the best place.

Anyway, here it is;

Dear Celtic Ticket Office and Board of Directors,
I am writing to formally inform you that, after much consideration, I will not be renewing my Celtic FC season ticket for the upcoming season.
This is not a decision I have taken lightly. As a lifelong supporter, giving up my seat is incredibly difficult, but I can no longer in good conscience continue to financially support the current direction of the club. My decision is rooted in several critical issues regarding how our club is being run:

Failure to Invest in the Squad

There has been a distinct and frustrating failure to properly invest in the playing squad. Despite having the financial resources and a clear advantage, the lack of ambition in the transfer market has left the team stagnant rather than building from a position of strength.

Shambolic Managerial Searches:

The previous search for a manager was nothing short of shambolic. It showed a complete lack of foresight and planning, and looking ahead, I have zero confidence in the board's ability to handle future transitions without repeating the exact same mistakes. I can already predict what is coming over the summer and I want no part of it.

Demonisation of the Fanbase:

The recent treatment of our own fans is deeply concerning. The barring of certain sections of our support feels like an unacceptable way to treat faithful, paying supporters. At the time, instead of dialogue and community, the board had chosen alienation and assumption of wrong doing of which I am sure has never been proven.

Exploitation of Loyalty:

There seems to be a general assumption by the hierarchy that the fanbase will simply accept mediocrity. The board appears to operate under the impression that we are merely a metric to be exploited for ticket sales and merchandise revenue, rather than the lifeblood of the club. This is unacceptable.

A Failure of Leadership:

Finally, there has been a complete and utter abject failure from anyone on the current board to take control and show true leadership. I hold particular criticism towards the Desmond family, whose hands-off, corporate approach is detrimental to our footballing identity. It is my firm belief that they should relinquish their stakeholding in Celtic with immediate effect to allow for leadership that actually puts the club first.
I want to support a Celtic that matches the ambition, passion, and values of its fans. Until the board reflects those qualities and treats the supporters with the respect they deserve, I will be supporting the team from afar.

Finally, I want to pass on my sincere congratulations to the playing squad and management team. I watched with pride our team winning a record 56 league titles but the very fact it took Martin O'Niell, a man in retirement to come back to work twice, makes the achievement that much more incredible. He was put in that position by an incompetent board who basically had no where to turn to. For that reason, I cannot continue to support this Club financially.
Please ensure my details are updated, thank you.

Well done Rab for taking a stand and your letter was eloquently put and highlights their shortcomings.

I understand how hard it is to walk away from the thing you love, having done so myself recently. Seeing fans like yourself pushed to the edge like this makes me hate them even more. They are a cancer that needs removed.

It’s obvious Celtic are missing out on another very passionate Supporter.
It’s a shame it’s came to that Rab and loads of fans share your frustrations.

It's a sad day when Celtic fans are so disgruntled, even when we are in an unprecedented period of success, to cancel their ST.

What does that say about how the club is being run, a club who claims its operations are world class.

Over the last few days, yet again our club has shown how poorly run we are.

Other clubs have started getting players in, yet we still don't have a Manager.

MON, who has done a remarkable job, was supposed to have a meeting with DD, who should not be the one deciding this, this week about the job and it is being put off until next week.

What a shambles of a club.

What does MN actually do for a job?

The Manager should be in place and we should have been in contact with potential signings and getting deals in place.

Sadly Marco, that is probably correct. There are plenty on the list who will find themselves a ticket this year. Good luck to them, I remember when I got mine, I was over the moon. ??.
