Our board could learn a lot from Bournemouth. The current boss Iraola doesn’t leave until the end of the season and they already have done a deal to appoint his successor - Marco Rose (does the name sound familiar to Celtic fans? ) .
The new boss-in-waiting now has over a month to watch and assess his squad in action and start to prepare for the crucial transfer window.
So that’s how a well-run club does it!
{Ed007's Note - No, a well run club would already be in negotiations with transfer targets, at a well run club the signings aren't driven my a manager who could only be in the job for a matter months - especially in England.
Do you think Tiago Pinto has just ripped up all the scouting data and stopped negotiating with agents because a new manager will be coming in?

'Well run club' and Celtic just don't marry-up these days. In fact you might have to go back many, many decades to even suggest we were ever well run?

I am assuming - perhaps naively Ed - that the scouting of players has been underway for a long time. You need the players and the coach / manager for a successful team.
{Ed007's Note - For all we know Celtic have already an agreement with our next manager and it's just not been made public yet.}

I think you both agree that at the moment Celtic are far from a well run club and that is one of the reasons we want the board out.

Is there any reality in getting the board out?
I think it might need extreme action like no one renewing season books for example which will never happen.
Fans are to precious over their seats. Seems on this site anyway that only a small amount are willing to do that.
{Ed007's Note - Well two of them have left already and the rumours of Nicholson's exit are still out there.}

We cross our fingers on that one!

Also rumours that Hargreaves will be off at the end of the season.
Personally this does not change things for me as the main culprit will remain in charge.

I hope it's someone like Robbie Keane, reason being is he will demand a few quid to spend to get the team up and running. I am not suggesting we should go out and spend 10 million on one player but bring in a good few quality players for the positions we need.
I would go as far as saying we need 7 new players minimum and they will cost a lot more than 10 million quid for the rebuild who ever takes over. Whether or not the board will sanction that sort of spending is another matter.

Titanic and deck chairs spring to mind.
DD needs to have a change of direction by releasing more cash into the club rather than hoarding it for no apparent purpose than to pay more tax.
If he had to appear on dragons den and explain that business approach the panel would get him certified.
Unless this mindset change occurs we will just be opposing another set of yes men.

Ed, the contract will be signed and announced after the cup final, a joint picture of MN and NL.
I am joking whilst crossing everything I have.
I would love to think that we have an agreement with a Manager in place and that person is already identifying the players he needs.
It would be great for that to be the case but this is Celtic and the way our club is currently being run, we will never be that well organised.
We will be running around all summer trying to find a Manager and our board will sign players for whoever comes in.
The changes we need will not happen under the current organisational structure, management and strategy.
It is a top to bottom structural change we need and with the Desmonds that will not happen imo.
