On this date in 1970,
Celtic beat Leeds 2-1 at Hampden in front of a European record of 136,000 fans to reach another Final.

It was only a few days after we lost the SC Final to Aberdeen at Hampden to prevent another Quadruple in the same season.

Leeds only received 4,000 tickets and they actually returned unsold tickets back to Celtic.
Celtic fans went to Central Station waiting for the Leeds fans coming off the trains looking for spare tickets.

A Special mention to Liverpool FC and their Families on the Anniversary of the most tragic day in their entire history.

Buzz I was at that game with my pals and I remember the crush, once you were on the terracing you had nowhere to go, hence the beer cans to pee in lol
I also remember Leeds were going for 4 trophies too but Don Revie prioratised our CL game and played weakened teams in the other competitions in the end Leeds LOST all 4 trophies.

I think the figure was probably a lot more.
