Has everyone watched the Sport in business podcast about Celtic complacency on YouTube.
Brilliant outlook absolutely slaughters DD and the current board and gives us an insight into how our club should be run with regards to other teams in Europe. Also tells the facts about DD who has never put a penny into Celtic apart from initial outlay for shares. Great watch highly recommend it.

{Ed007's Note - I put it on your post Drew, it's on the rumours page so that it doesn't get lost as posts come in.}

Just watched it. Wow, it really puts into perspective how poorly run we are. They estimate we spend only 20% of our total income on wages. 40% is low and 50% is high, we are at 20%. I know it is more convoluted than that with FFP.

They also mentioned Ajax and Benfica, who spend all their money each season to try and compete in Europe and do a much better job than us.

He said that there are clubs in the Pub League who, even with the TV money, don't make as much as us and if we were in that league, we would generate around 400m a year and be up among the top earners.

Ajax and Benfica own clubs in Africa etc with a view to brining through and selling young players, and have businesses in place to sell their merchandise internationally.

They even said that if we spent all our reserves on replacing the old stand and took the stadium capacity to 85000, we could fill it with season ticket holders quite easily and we would make a lot of money.

The most Important thing they said was that DD doesn't own the club, hasn't put money into the club, none of the board have, as it hasn't been needed, so all the money in the bank has been invested by fans.

It is clear we need DD to leave, change his strategy or we find all those missing shares and get one entity to buy them all and DD would no longer have the grip on the club he currently has.

Definitely worth watching.

The financial experts basically said Celtic would be one of the biggest clubs in the World if we played in the EPL.

And yet here we are, poor team on the field, a stadium thateeds a lot of modernisation and loads of cash in the bank.

These guys are supposed to be businessmen, so why is it that they run the club the way they do.

The 'just in case' response to stashing money, doesn't hold water when you view how most other clubs run and what we could be if they just changed course.
