That refereeing was one worst things I’ve ever seen today,

I can't tell you the last time Beaton gave us a penalty by pointing straight to the spot. Seems VAR have to tell him "John that 1 is a stone waller mate".

John Beaton only gave one penalty against Celtic in his 9 years before VAR was introduced.

Since VAR was introduced Beaton has given another 8 penalties to Celtic but VAR has recommended 7 of those penalties.

So basically in 14 years since his first Celtic match John Beaton has only pointed to the penalty spot TWICE for a penalty to Celtic.
( Never at Celtic Park )

Var didn't need to get involved he was looking straight at it.

Thats the problem Mally, he always has a perfect view but doesn't give them in the hope his colleague in VAR is of the same persuasion and ignores it also.

Its a tactic and most of the time it works for him, VAR doesn't review it or reviews the incident in seconds and the decision ' nothing to see here' is reached.

I have yet to see a ref, after getting the nod from VAR on a decision, actually stick to their original decision and say, no don't agree with that.

The second VAR gets involved it is a done deal.

That's some stat eh Buzz. So obvious yet they don't think he's one of their own! I kind of knew that it was a rarity to seem him point straight to the spot.

Wow buzz that perspective speaks volumes,
As fans we know certain refs and see there poor games but stats back certain things up and that means this guy gets the big decisions wrong, maybe his role should be full time var as in play he is obv inept, be interesting to see if it’s same for all teams, we obv think it’s a biased thing against us but maybe he’s just brutal,
