For Sunday's cup match I would like us to move away from the 4-3-3 nonsense as we do not have the players to excel in that set-up.

A 4-4-2 would be better but in order to be really strong defensively, I'd prefer to see a 3-5-2.

Sinisalo
Arthur, Trusty (Scales or Tierney)
Araujo, McCowan, McGregor, Hatate, (Tierney or Saraachi)
Nygren, (any of our other strikers/ wingers) .

Sevco struggled to create much last Sunday and I doubt they would get much of a sniff at goal against that midfield-dominating line up.

{Ed007's Note - 3-5-2 is outdated and far too easy to counter with fast wingers. The squad we have is ready made to move to a 4-2-3-1....

Trusty has been poor and does't imo deserve his place in team, Arthur or Murray for me. Cvancara has been terrible and even if we get 45 mins from Inheacho i'd risk him at Ibrokes.

We don’t have one good striker never mind playing two.
MON recently played Iheanacho and Tomas together for a short spell but it was no good.
They played too far apart and didn’t link up properly.

See yove not got the boy Arthur in Edd a nvr seen last nights game, do you not think he b btr option ar RCB mate.

{Ed007's Note - No.}

Nygren playing in that '10' position would suit him given the goal threat he has as well as offering support to the striker.

{Ed007's Note - ????

Yang and Maeda have both been dross for weeks. Play Nygren up top as we need his goals but he weakens the midfield when in a "3".

{Ed007's Note - So who do we start, Forrest?

05 Mar 2026 16:46:57
Not yang he is gash and has no heart definitely forrest even mccowan.

The 4-2-3-1 is better than our current formation.
It protects the back 4 better and we might start seeing clean sheets instead of having to score 2 or 3 goals every match for a victory.
It also supports Calmac better.
Plus it suits Nygren in his favoured position.

Our record this season against the better teams in the league has been poor mainly because we’re leaving ourselves exposed.
Celtic need to start getting clean sheets the same as Hearts and Motherwell. A 4-2-3-1 formation will give us a better chance and make it harder for our opponents.

I would try sarrachi at LB and Tierney LW with maeda up top. Cvancara has been gash. I know maeda has been gash too but i'm just hoping he turns up and runs their defence into the ground as he owes us a performance. Tierneys directness further up would cause them problems.
Again its not ideal but i would go for forrest instead of yang just for experience alone. Forrest is all but done but yang has no heart for these games. I would also go with Trusty as he owes us a big performance as he's been gash lately

Sinisalo
Araujo trusty scales sarrachi
Hatate mcgregor
Forrest nygren Tierney
Maeda

If it was my choice 5 or 6 of these players would be nowhere near our club let alone the starting 11 but there's nothing there to replace them with.

Sinisalo.

Playing a 10 is a luxury in matches where you need to win the midfield.
