Right guys, enough is enough I hate the goings on at Celtic park off the field but after today we need to back the team.

Every trophy is precious we have to compete on all fronts the team deserve our support regardless of off field problems.

MON deserves better than the boycott today I get it but please support the team.

Listen to a podcast yesterday where it was suggested instead of boycotting the games fans hold up red cards or scarfs designed for protest just like man United did a few years back. personally the red card one I thought was a great idea. it's simple yet effective, that with the chants against the board would still direct the unhappy, unrest towards the board and would still get maximum exposure from the media, and it allows fans to unite and still support the team while protesting against the board .

let's be honest here, fans can boycott the quarter finals, even semi finals, but if we got Rangers in any of those ties, are the fans that did boycott going to boycott that tie?

I totally get those sentiments but as has already been proven, they are just ignored by the board.

Sadly, there is no other way to get those at the top to listen other than to withhold our support and money. Yes, there is a possibility that it will have an affect on the park and it could cost us trophies but what is the alternative? I don't want to be sitting hear at future transfer windows, pissed off at yet another failed window. Or be sitting here year after year annoyed that we didn't invest before champions league qualifiers and crashed out as a result or see yet another failed appointment in a key position, cause us further damage or watch our board scrambling around for a manager because they are incapable of succession planning. I also don't want to see us penny punching and fail to invest, despite being loaded, just because Desmond lacks ambition. Do you?

Do you think it was a coincidence that the board decided to meet with fans after 6 months of ignoring us, right after we announced the boycott?

Let's hope they listen to our demands or this will continue to rumble on as I don't see the fans backing down, if anything the measures we will need to take will intensify.

On an end note, I find it telling that some people are asking the fans to back down because it is causing damage but they are not saying the same of the board even though they started this and have caused the club way more damage. ?.

Been done. Was board members faces as Thistle away. Disrupted game at Dundee away.

The boycott is pointless in my opinion as like other say the majority will only do it for smaller cup ties and NOT against any main rival same with the season tickets renewal there won’t be any boycott on them as the club know and same with the ST holders, that with the amount on the waiting list in won’t make a dent on them as the boycotters will be the only ones loosing out in the long run.

It's every fans right to do what they see fit, missing games not for me we only damage the players and management and they're not to blame for the mistakes this board have made, if they're smart they'll get the GB back in on Wed and announce serious dialogue with the collective on the same token the G B need to behave and not give these parasites any excuse to ban them again.

Weejoe, I respect your views and everyone is entitled to theirs. let me ask you though, if Celtic draw Rangers in the quarters, semi or get them in the final will you boycott and forfeit your ticket? When renewals come out, if the same board is at the helm will you renew your season ticket or give it up In an ideal world if boycotting games didn't effect the teammon the park then by God i'm all for it. if you could withhold buying a season ticket knowing that when change eventually happens you'd get it straight back by God you'd do it. but we don't live in an ideal world. what's needednus the not another penny ramped up. if the superstore was empty day after day, folk refusing point blank to buy from the food stalls, refuse to buy for the halftime draw, and it was happening constantly that would soon move the board into action.

see when adidas drop 4 or 5 new strips next season and all the fancy training gear, you think they're going to like the drop in profits for poor sales? . as I say every man woman and child are entitled to their opinion, de i'd on their actions, but for me if boycotts continue or are ramped up more frequently then be prepared for title losses be it cup or league, . and just for clarity I want rid of this board as much as you. for me Nicholson shouldve been sacked when Nancy went, if only for employing thee worst manager in the clubs history never mind his other failings. everyone of those board members are replaceable other than Desmond. he'd need to sell up or be bought out, so unless he does either we're stuck with him for the foreseeable, the rest can go tomorrow.

Well said Joe.

Garryc - The way I feel right now I don't think I will be back at Celtic park and neither will my kids, while the Desmonds are there. I will also not be spending another penny on anything Celtic related. The way they have treated the fans and the damage they have caused our club is just not forgivable.

I have said it many times, sacking Nicholson, McKay or Wilson will change very little as the main cause of the problems will still be there. While I back the collective, green brigade and fan media, I don't like the fact that in some ways their agenda is a tad selfish and they are not trying to tackle the main issue, which is the Desmonds.

Joe you summed the situation up perfectly. Not one fan wants to affect the team negatively but extreme measures are required with how the club has been run for some time.

Short term failure may be required to allow our club to truly flourish long term. The current state of the club is not caused by the fans but by the derelictions of duty by the clubs hierarchy.

The fans did not bring in a new manager, implementing a new system at a key point in the season with a game every 3 days and no time on the training pitch to implement his ideas. Fans did not bring in Paul Tisdale to run our footballing department without any pedigree. Fans did not ban the section of the support which creates the atmosphere at Paradise. All to try and remove the discontent from the stadium.

Who is truly at fault for our current predicament? It’s far too easy to narrow your focus on a boycott of one game rather than take in the whole picture. The fans have been taken advantage of for some time and treated like a cash cow. Disrespected and/ or cut away when any form of discontent is shown.

It has been one step forward and two back for some time now. The foundational building blocks must be implemented for our club to flourish going forward.
