Joe based on your figures and breakdown over several posts;

We had 80m in the bank roughly, tax paid. You said we will lose 30m-50m of that by June (but you can't be precise) or 6m-10m a month till June.

After June, that would leave us 30m-50m in the bank.

But you also said "As things stand it has cost us around 90 million in lost revenue so far and that is without factoring in reduced gate receipts".

So under your numbers, we would need to cover that 90m loss, by using up that remaining 30-50m in the bank. That would cover us for a further 5months to 8months (based on your numbers) .

We won't have much profit to add in because of the 90m loss in revenue.

But you are also saying we "operated a profit this season". Which is obvious, as we haven't spent much at all.

I don't know if you genuinely believe all that and/ or are just caught up in the click bait. Or if you are pushing an agenda here for the sake of it. But you are way off here.

You’re combining points from different posts that were addressing different issues.
They were never presented as one single calculation.

The £30–50m was an estimate of current cash as of February, not June.
The £90m was opportunity cost, not cash spent. I. e. notbselling Maeda and Engles, plus missing out on CL.
The profit comment was a prediction, not a claim.

Treating those as one argument is what’s creating confusion here.

If you want to challenge any one of those points, do it in the context it was made, not by merging them into something I didn’t argue.

I might be coming different posts Joe but not the points. I'm just pointing out that the numbers being thrown about on various sites are being distorted. I'm not having ago at you or anything, just saying there's another way of looking at it, that isn't doom and gloom.

The calculations you mentioned definitely feed into eachother, especially when its expenditure and revenue.

If you are saying we have 30m-50m left now in Feb, I think that puts us in a worse position - almost sevco wage bill territory. We would run out of the cash reserves between July and September. We might get about 30m in profit after tax, but that would only give us a few months more, or less if we buy players in summer. I don't think we are in that dire a position.

I'll agree with you that the club costs about, £9.5m month to run. I just don't agree with how you see the projections. I think that's just suiting a particular narrative. Then that's all stats and figures are. "Lies, damn lies and statistics". I'll respectfully disagree Joe, and hope that for both of us, we are in a good place at the end of the season.

If you actually read my reply to Timalloy you will have noticed that I disagreed with their figures as well, so I don't understand why you directed this post at me if I was actually backing up your argument. ?

For clarity then let us see what we agree upon.

1. I am saying we have leas than 70-80 million in the bank and put the figure in the region of 30-50 million. This is me using a monthly spend of about 8-10 million along with extra income since June.

2. I am saying the board have lost us about 90 million in revenue because they didn't sell Maeda and Engles, plus we didn't qualify for CL.

3. I am predicting a drop in our revenue this season from 145 million to a out 100 million.

4. I am predicting a profit this season, because we have cut spending.

I always post in good faith but occasionally I get it wrong and when I do, I hold my hands up but when I believe or know I am right, I will argue my case.

I understand why the Collective are asking for a boycott but for me that has a negative impact on the players, even though they are aware why.

The atmosphere as it stands is poor and if even less attend, as opposition managers have said, it takes a lot of the fear away for their players.

Whemen the atmosphere is white hot, it gives our players a big boost and can unsettle the opposition.

This is the time the players really need the fans.
