I would hope the collective confirm this week that the “not another penny “ campaign will now be continued into August which will affect next season’s kit launches unless there is significant changes at boardroom level and there are major changes in the clubs strategy.

I can definitely see calls for a boycott of the Dundee cup tie and Euro tie.

If we want change we better be prepared for a long battle in my view.

I have said for weeks there would be a backlash from the merchandise boycott and we sure as hell have seen that over the last month.

Apart from the obvious incompetence the board really have confirmed now that they cannot be trusted.

At start of the window I highlighted the possibility that Celtic would not be free to spend, despite having plenty in the bank. I also highlighted that this was due to a massive downturn in our revenue, which means a significant cut to next year's budgets. Therefore, the club would not want high transfer fees or wages carrying over into next season.

I then went on to outline the 3 possibilities for transfers this window and highlighted that the most likely was loan signings and low value transfers. It would appear that I hit the nail on the head.

Celtic will have already taken money from about 40,000 fans on the home ticket scheme for the Dundee game.
I will be withdrawing my kids from the home ticket scheme next season and other fans should do the same.

I don’t believe that’s the case Joe.
Celtic have plenty of room to spend money on transfers under the UEFA transfer rules.
Plus it runs over a 3 year period.
I think it’s just Dermot Desmond digging his heals in and also sticking 2 fingers up to the Celtic fans because he calls the shots.

It’s shocking how a minority shareholder has the same power like he actually owns 100% of the club.

Joe it was also highlighted that your analysis of the financial situation was a mistake. But hey keep on ignoring the facts about the financial rules to suit your argument.

I think there might be a bit of confusion here, and I’d like to clarify the distinction. The three-year period you’re referring to is actually for the €60 million loss calculation, but the 70% spending cap is evaluated annually.

Here’s what UEFA say about the 70% cap I’m referring to in the "UEFA Club Licensing an Financial Sustainability Regulations":

Article 55 - Financial Sustainability and Player-Related Expenditure:

‘Clubs must ensure that their player-related expenditure (comprising wages, transfer fees, and agent fees) for any given season does not exceed 70% of their total revenue for that same season. This is to ensure long-term financial sustainability. UEFA monitors these figures on an annual basis, using the club's financial accounts for the preceding season. ’"

For that reason I stand by what I said.

DD is the Trump of football, you challenge him and he gives you the middle finger.

I think it has also been pointed out to you that we are nowhere near the 70% mark. Bigger question is why are you continuing with this when it's been pointed out numerous times that you are wrong?

Things are bad enough, and most people agree with your sentiment, there's no need to peddle disinformation unless you have another agenda, which kinda makes you look a bit suss.

Dr Phil I am not peddling any disinformation and I have acknowledged many times that we are well under budget and have plenty of money in the bank.

However, you are failing to grasp my point and refusing to accept that the 70% we can spend is based on a 1 year calculation and not a three year calculation, as has been pointed out to you many times. You also don't grasp that we cannot spend freely despite being below budget and having money available due to the massive reduction in our revenue this season. All transfer fees and wages appear on next year's balance sheet if we had signed anyone permanently. So while we could have spent this window, it would have a knock on effect to next year's budget, hence the reason I said we could not spend freely.
