Desmond said: "When we appointed Wilfried to the role of manager, clearly we thought we could enjoy a successful period under his control. Unfortunately this did not work out in the way we would have liked, and while he and the club are disappointed with the recent period, I want to take this opportunity to wish him well in all he does going forward. "
To me, that's like me going out, blowing all our money on scratch cards, then coming home to my wife and saying, "I'm disappointed we lost all our money, unfortunately, the scratch cards didn't work out the way I had hoped. "
There's no real remorse, no acknowledgment that I took a massive gamble and screwed up. It's a statement of disappointment framed as an excuse, not an apology. To my wife, it would come across as selfish and contemptuous, a way of avoiding responsibility for the mess I created.

At least he realised it had to change or there would be no league to win under the previous manager! Target man required asap along with a few physical quality additions.

What do you want him to say? Of course they hired him hoping he would turn out well, it didn't, so he corrected it.

After all the turmoil, the questions need to be asked. Who actually thought this guy was worth chasing into the top job? Obviously DD being a money man, probably only looked as much into the deal as how much money it would cost.
Somebody sold Nancy to the board and did a good job. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if there was a skim going on.

They are a shower of charlatans and would-be flymen. The support were planning to possibly boycott games and increase protests so they bring back a cult hero to try and appease the masses.
I posted earlier how unfair it was of them to ask MON to save their arses twice in as many months after treating him appallingly and although I look forward to his return I feel they have taken liberties with a gentleman of honour and principles way beyond their own, Several players need to take a long hard look at themselves as well.

Like you previously mentioned Joe,
Our fans knew better than the Celtic Board about Nancy.
Nancy was never going to last 2.5 years.
It's strange he wasn't given a One year rolling contract similar to Brendan and Ange.
{Ed007's Note - They couldn't Buzz, contracts need to end at the end of a season so it was 6 months or 18 minimum.}

Tisdale probably identified him but MN and others would have interviewed him but its the person who looked at his results with his previous clubs and thought he's done well, needs to be hung up by his tes*****s.
MON till the end of the season is their easy way out and at least the players know him and SM but its a stop gap till the summer and they dither again about the next Manager.
I'll be happier if behind the scenes they work on the new Manager between now and summer so he comes in as soon as season ends and we are not chasing our tails again.
Until then we get behind MON and the team.

I will be 100% behind MON and the team but I cannot say the same for the charlatans masquerading as directors of our club.

Honestly am apology. Seem will never be happy.
Board made a wrong decision, rectify it all be it 2 games to late.
Put out a statement and because the word sorry wasn't in it. Thsts not good enough.
