If we sign munteanau or any other player we were linked with previously, it will prove that it is not the manager making the decision when it comes to signings.

Did Rodgers not say he had the final decision when it came to transfers?

{Ed007's Note - Rodgers has said a lot, what was true or not is a bone of contention that has followed his career.}

He claimed to have the last word on all signings but many times referred to them as club signings.

DD even said BR had final say, so we may never find out.

With January coming it will be interesting to see who we do sign and who will be identifying the players we need.

Anges first window we had 3 players coming in immediately which settled the nerves and showed us the way forward. We then signed MOR.

I hope the board do something similar but am not holding my breath.

If he wasn't making the decisions on transfers I think he would have dropped a clue in his interviews, when he was blabbering on about quality, that he wasn't.

{Ed007's Note - What?

Bhoy88 if you think balikwisha, tounetki, shin, pusey etc were players rodgers wanted then you are gullible as fck.
He might have said he signed them off but like ed said he said a lot of things that were not true.
Has it never entered your head that maybe Rodgers spat the dummy out because this was the pish being thrown at him by the recruitment team and not the quality he wanted to progress the team?
Im no fan of rodgers and he had to go but anyone that blames rodgers for these flops then they are an idiot.

Did rodgers have last say on the dozens and dozens of flops signed during lennons and anges times too?

I'm sure it was part of the reason he decided he had had enough but Rodgers was never the coach he said he was he brought through no youth players at all in either of his stints at Celtic and said the academy was 5 years away from producing players yet they are all being cherry picked by clubs in England 2-3 a year problem was Brendan didn't want to play them he wanted ready made players brought in at a higher quality than the club would pay and the recruitment staff and how we go about things is a shambles we need a proper dof and proper youth set up no more jobs for the boys like McManus and Johnny Hayes our youth set up should have the best coaches available not people learning there trade.
