If we were to lose this League it would be embarrassing and unforgivable, and no I'm not an entitled fan.
The opposition like most seasons is pretty poor, we have 10 times the resources of any other club, over the course of 38 games we should be out of sight come the end of the season.

Yes you can lose a Cup tie but there is no way we should be losing a League title.

Agree3 Disagree0

Players standing around and turning away from play while not playing to a whistle will lose us this league. chasabhoy there's a bit in the documentary about stein shankley and Busby (narrated by hugh mcilveney) showing big jock using a tactics board . don't know how to put it on here though.

Celtic have missed 2 big chances already this season to put a marker on another title.

We had the chance to go 11 points ahead of Sevco away to Dundee but lost there for the first time since the 1980s.
Then on Sunday we had the potential of going 6 points ahead of Hearts if we also won our game in hand.
Now we could be 6 points behind going to Tannadice next Wednesday.

Starting to sound like a Sevco fan with the Big IF'S.
Let's hope it doesn't come back to bite us.

Winning the League Cup is massive because it should give everyone a lift and hopefully we will be able to kick on together.
But a defeat will put huge extra pressure on everyone from The Board, Recruitment, Management and also the Players.

There is no question that we have possibly more money than the rest of the league put together and that has bred unadulterated pure complacency. From the support and players. but mainly the Board.
They have treaded water for well over a decade, concentrating on what money they can make and shunning any ambition and plans to make Celtic football club the best it has ever been at all levels.

As long as people with tiny vindictive minds run Celtic, we will always be geared to barely do enough and no more - as long as they keep Sevco within touching distance as per the 5 way agreement.

Was just trying to play down the comments about tactic boards. Personally, I was enjoying the game up until we gave away the first goal, so with the right additions who knows. Whoever came in was going to struggle to have any instant impact, even MON got fortunate results on a few occasions.

Most of us knew we were short in a few areas, injuries just shone a floodlight on the paper thin squad.

Resources are of no use to us sitting in the bank.

Get a team fit for purpose on the field.

Tactics boards might be ok in principle, but not calling the captain over to the side of the pitch several times during the game to have a wee play with it. It's not American Football with time-outs.

Bet the footage doesn't show Jock doing that. It looks ridiculous and just highlights that the players don't know what they're meant to be doing.

{Ed007's Note - CalMac has played at the highest level of football for most of his career, CL/EL, Euros with Scotland, captained one of the biggest clubs in the world and his country, won numerous trophies all through his career but needs a wee daft board to tell him where to move on the pitch, is ze French accent zat bad?
I heard the Japanese translators are watching the old Pink Panther movies and reruns of Allo Allo to try to understand the accent.}

A defeat in the LC final is unimaginable and for me, even at this early stage, unforgivable.

There are no excuses for not winning the first trophy of the season.

☘️ ? ☘️.

{Ed007's Note - I'm guessing the board will get the blame if we don't win it, maybe the players.}
