I Missed Out

Just read that what is called a "Mugs Double" (horses bet on because of name or other connection NOT on form)

Some Celtic fans noticed horses called Nakamura and Daizan both running yesterday and some lumped on the horses won at combined odds of 60/ 1

Good Luck to them, ME? I too busy scouring race card for other Mugs Doubles.

I remember a massive forecast came up with the new at the time cartoon racing.
One horse had Celtic in the name and the other had Parkhead in its name and both were huge odds.

Celtic had just beaten Rangers 3-0 on January 3rd 2004 and fans were still out celebrating on the Monday a couple of days later when they bashed the bookies.

I actually heard the commentary of the cartoon race in the bookies and strangely both lead from the start to the finish which didn’t normally happen with the cartoon racing back then.

A few of the Coatbridge bookies I went into up the Main Street couldn’t pay everyone out and they had to get their winnings the next day.

I like yourself Tim missed out but it was still good to see loads of people getting a good start to the New Year.

Buzz you talk about a Forecast

Years ago Mrs T and the two ghirls picked a horse each for the Grand National, Mrs T because of the "nice jockey colours" and my ghirls because both jockeys were "good looking"

You guessed it all three horses came in 123, they were all happy until I told them if they had spent an extra couple of pounds on a Tricast they would have won over £5,000, it put a dampener on things.

I noticed last week before a ball was kicked that Celtic were 33/ 1 to win the Europa League and Sevco were 66/ 1 and those odds remain the same today.

6 of our next 7 opponents in the competition are 50/ 1 or under.
The only exception is Sturm Graz at 100/ 1 and that’s who Sevco play on Thursday.
Braga are only 20/ 1 to win the Europa League with Ladbrokes.
